Blood tests and IgA deficiency
Hello I've been referred for a gastroscopy for coeliacs but my TTG was negative and my total IgA was really pointless it just said >0.0005 g/L when NICE guidelines say IgA deficiency is if <0.7g/L and that if TTG negative then need to test if person is IgA deficient. I don't want gastroscopy if I don't

Please offer advise as to who should check CT scan
Hello, this is my first post and I apologise in advance as I am at a crossroads and will be following either the no OC path or the OC path depending on investigative outcome. My situation is various symptoms (back pain, bloating, frequent urination, pain, nausea) which led to a US scan which has come

Oral Ulcers
Hey, I've been in bed for a few days, I literally have no energy & feel wiped out. I spoke to my GP today about my reoccurring blood blisters in my mouth & oral ulcers & also a new lip blister that has popped & left a really raw patch of flesh. I feel like I have the flu, all my joint ache deeply

Hi everyone, first time on any forum for me. Had gastroscopy yesterday and diagnosed with hiatus hernia , Barrett's oesophagus. Years of anti acids and now I know why! Waiting for biopsy results . Just wanted to ask if anyone else relates to having stomach ache, nausea etc 24 hours after procedure ?

Hiatus Hernia
Hello I'm new here today. I've just come back from seeing a consultant about a hiatus hernia that they found by gastroscopy. To cut a long story short, I can't take acid blocking medication because of too many side effects, I can't take H2 antagonists so he says I have to learn to manage it with diet

Ugh
Hi, this is my first time posting here. I'd like to know if anybody has had a gastroscopy done under general anaesthetic. I've attempted to have it done twice under sedation and with just the throat spray but there is no way it's going to happen. I really need to have it done to get a definitive answer

After gastrectomy
I have suffered from acid reflux and indigestion for some time which affects my appetite. I am expecting to have a full stomach removal. I've been reading on here that's some people suffer terribly from reflux following surgery. I can't bear the thought of going through stomach removal and still suffering

Any thoughts please?
Back in mid July, I saw a consultant who told me I had cirrohsis, (alcohol related). My tests from a scan in March had been 'lost' or something similar. I have never been informed on the results of the scan, just that I have cirrohisis. Subsequently I have had blood tests and a gastroscopy. I have the

Help? What help?
Since a diagnosis of cirrhosis a couple of months ago, I've had an ultrasound scan, a CT scan and a gastroscopy. I've had no advice re current medications (even though a couple of my long term meds indicate possible incompatibility with my liver) and no dietary advice. Thanks be for the Liver Trust,

Hello everyone It's a bit of a long one so I do apologise in advance x Yesterday I had a combined Appointment with the E.N.T doctor & my specialist prof Lorraine Harper. I had a nasal endoscopy which showed my right nasal passage was very narrow but my CT scan results of my sinus revealed no infection
