B12 Deficiency- Cause Found! Please read, just in the hope it helps you crack your B12 problem.
Hello All, Finally, after years of pleading and fighting to be believed, I've found the cause of my B12 deficiency and felt it worth posting, just in the hope it resonates with someone else in finding answers. My symptoms ranged from struggling with day to day life (just generally not coping), exhaustion

Gastroscopy & Colonoscopy today
Hi folks, Thanks to those that replied to my Newbie post. I had both my procedures today, the Gastroscopy was clear however as expected the Colonoscopy found patches of diverticula in the Distal descending colon (explains left side pain). The report also said that they took 14 biopsies in 2 areas on

Bile reflux?
I'm 7 months post gastrectomy and about a week ago I was awakened by a horrible burning like heartburn in my throat. As I don't have a stomach I assumed this was bile reflux - the first time I'd ever experienced it. Then this morning I've woken up to the delightful sight of a bright yellow patch on my

Hi folks, I’ve had lupus 11yrs, Fibromyalgia 6yrs & IBS off/on pretty much since my teens (now 46). I was able to manage it with Colpermin & a probiotic so it didn’t affect my life too much. Then in February this year I started having daily lower stomach cramps, back pain & going to the toilet 6 times

Eating out. Is it causing a problem?
Hi there, I have multiple food intolerances. For 5 years I've been lactose, soya and alcohol intolerant. In the last 6 months I've had to give up dairy completely and gluten. I also find if I eat too many nuts (particularly peanuts) I have an issue. So far all the tests I've had show I'm not celiac

B12 injection dose
Hi, I am 57 years old and had a total gastrectomy 9 years ago on 29 May 2008. Because my stomach has been removed my body cannot absorb b12 from foods or tablets. I have to inject myself with b12. My doctor believes that the correct dosis for b12 deficiency is 1mg per month. However when I only inject

am I celiac?
hi all...first post in gluten free guerrillas. I have been eating wheat/gluten free since March this year. I was tested for celiac In march also, but they came back negative. though the doctor never told me to eat gluten prior to the test...so the test now isn't guaranteed. I'm going for a gastroscopy

Gastritis, are B12 injection going to treat it?
I have PA and started B12 injections. I have just done gastroscopy. I have symptoms of gastritis (I have to wait for the results of 4 biopsies in 3 weeks time). And the doctor saw my stomach and said it looks like gastritis (not severe one). What results I can receive. Are they going to confirm gastritis

More than seven years and I'm still here.
Saturday the 7th Oct was a day I'd longed to see as it way my youngest Grand Daughter's wedding day. It was also my late wife's birthday. More than seven years after my Total Gastrectomy I was able to attend the wedding. I enjoyed the food, dancing and meeting all the family (nine grandchildren and 12

Car fumes - potentially cause of Lung Cancer
Yesterday I received my 2nd dose of Chemo for Lung Cancer. Originally it was diagnosed as “small cell lung cancer” after I’d had a bronchopathy biopsy. It's a mystery that I now have Lung Cancer. I know there is a school of thought that genealogy has a part. But I suspect that it may have been caused
