Tachycardia
Rather a long post I’m afraid. In 2000 I was 44 and developed unstable angina over 4 months. My husband had BUPA with his work so I saw a cardiologist quickly, put on aspirin, Bisoprolol and GTN. The cardiologist was always unsure whether it was a blockage to my LAD or a spasm and I was due to undergo

Sternum discomfort week 11 after bypass.
Hi guys, I'm now at week 11 after double heart bypass surgery. Surgery went well, but very bad wound infection and had to be rehospitalized. After all the infection hoo ha, I'm doing well and generally feeling good. My chest area currently feels really tight, and whilst it doesn't hurt to breathe in

Terrified!!
I am scheduled for double bypass surgery next Monday and am terrified! Have always been fit and healthy and never had to undergo in patient surgery. Need reminding of why I am putting myself through this, as angina pain is very well managed! I’m only 58 and my heart EF is good . 😬🥴

Triple Bypass side effect.
Since having my CABG in march I keep getting this spasm which rocks my body. I can only describe it as like half a hiccup. It makes me make a weird noise and happens about 10 times an hour. Does anyone know what this could be?

Good news then bad
I had a meeting with my cardiologist yesterday snd he told me he was delighted with my recovery from double cabg surgery. He answered all my questions and reassured me about all the concerns/ worries I have. I came out feeling on cloud 9, and for the first time in 3 years of heart concerns, I felt there

Between a Rock and a Hardplace!
👋 Hi Everyone, this will probably seem like a 1st world problem to most people on this forum, I'm sure but I wonder if anyone else has lost a little sleep 😴 over my current dilemma? I had Bypass surgery late September 2022. This was purely precautionary following my diagnosis of a severe stenosis

nerve pain and numbness months after heart bypass operation
I had a heart bypass seven months ago and since then on and off I have had numbness on the left side of my chest and I have spoke with my GP and consultant but they just say the numbness is still there because of my diabetes and just wondering has anyone else experienced this after heart bypass operation

Triple Bypass 2 years on.
I sometimes reply to the questions and experiences of others but I don't instigate threads, so this is an exception. Two years ago today, age 64, I was in surgery for triple CABG following a heart attack and one stent in 2019, and a return of some symptoms such as pressure in upper chest and awful jaw

stopping atenolol cold turkey
my mum is 84 and has been in atenolol for 22 years after having a quadruple heart bypass. She is in 25 mg dose and this week her go has told her to stop taking them as her pulse is too low. After 2nd day her anxiety is through the roof and she can’t stop shaking, she’s having palpitations and just generally

I am now 11 weeks post, and need help from the ladies.....my ' girls' are mostly still numb... Little sensation on

Flying to Australia
Hi! I’m looking to fly to Australia to see my daughter. I am 58 and had double heart bypass in July last year, with full recovery. I wonder if anyone can recommend a reasonable travel insurance? Many Thanks 🙏
