Before surgery my diabetes was stable using both a slow release and a fast acting insulin.
Since the operation the insulin is reacting more strongly to the same foods & I can't seem get a balance without dropping - and whichever medics I ask they have no knowledge of this.
I know this is a diabetes question but I wanted to ask if anyone else had experienced this - or found their diabetes was better after cabg.
Thanks

Hi, I am not sure about the others but for me Clopidogrel caused me to have more hypos. I am naturally not a doctor, but I would speak to your diabetes consultant. I was on Clopidogrel for a year but then it was stopped, I believe this is normal practice after CABG. I do hope you are okay and manage to stabilise. It can be a problem but mine did settle so I hope the same for you. Take care, Judi
