shoulder and back pain following CABG
I had a triple CABG 8 weeks ago now. I am finding it difficult to get back to moral activity because my shoulders ache and I have a strong ache between my shoulder blades at the top of my back. I kinda expected these aches in the early days because of positioning and trauma during surgery, But was not

how do you prepare for bypass!
Hi Just after a little bit of advice on how I can prepare myself for a bypass surgery, I only found out before Xmas after an angiogram they couldn’t fit stent because of where the blockage is in the left internal mammary artery. So I’ve been referred but now my mind is going into overdrive thinking

Afib and CAD double trouble and their vicious cycle
CAD (coronary artery disease) is a subset of a process disease called atherosclerosis, plaques of mainly fat build up inside arteries leading to intraluminal stenosis.. I post this one to draw attention to all of us, afibers, not trying to scare any of us. The purpose of this post is to do the right

It's A Wonderful Life!
My wife and I took advantage of some unseasonable sunshine today and went for a walk along the coast here in Hampshire. As we walked I was struck by just how much my life has changed since I had bypass surgery five years ago. This walk features some challenging climbs up and down from the cliffs, and

How difficult is it to diagnose Adenomyosis?
After becoming sick of this routine, i paid for a
gastric
bypass
to lose weight. Ultimately, I had an MRI in May 2021 which showed some ? possible endometriosis scarring on one of my ovaries and behind the uterus. I had the Laparoscopy in December 2021 which was negative.

Can't get a quote for Holiday Insurance until I specify what the medication I'm taking following Bypass surgery is for.
Hi 🤗 Everyone, I've just tried to nail down a Holiday insurance quote but I've hit a brickwall and was hoping that I can tap into the wealth of knowledge of my fellow Hearties. On the 26th September I had double Bypass Surgery. What with lockdown and my diagnosis of a severe Stenosis on the LAD

Mouth Pain
I had
gastric
bypass
in 2009 my daughter in law said that probably contributed to it. I currently have Hashimotos, Lupus, Reynauds and I do weekly human globulin infusions because I am Immune deficient.

Views on running after CABG?
I suppose this is a addressed to people who used to run before their operation.I used to run and I wasn't very good.Pre op on a treadmill I could run at 5mph, or twelve minute mile pace, if I veered over this I might have chest discomfort and had to take a rest.I was warned not to exert myself but felt

exercises for post bypass surgery
my uncle is doing brill since his bypass surgery, 6 weeks on he’s walking up the stairs and trying to exercise using a pedal bike. He has seen the cardiac nurse but exercise booklet think has been delayed due to postal strike. Any tips would be helpful? Also the district nurse discussed his stomach issues

Post Cabg how soon do you think i can i lie on my side?
i asked the physiological this when i was still in and she said when i liked. To start with even slight movement was unthinkable,I lay and slept absolutely still.I would dream i was stretching and wake up with my arms braced. I've been lucky because i am fairly content on a pillow slope and laying stock
