How old are you ?
I was wondering how old other people with PMR are ? I was 52 when I first had symptoms, both my GP and Consultant say I am too young to have it - seem to have proved them wrong 😰 It did take five months to finally see the consultant and he has sent me for MRI scans, chest X-ray, hand X-ray and abdominal

Human Interaction
“Healthcare is about human to human interactions.” That was my most retweeted comment at the recent brilliant Stanford Medicine X conference I attended. For me it epitomises everything about my own healthcare journey and the journey of my company 11Health. The ability to build and maintain a relationship

Worrying X Ray Results
I was diagnosed with COPD three years ago and was called in to see my GP following a chest X-ray. Apparently it showed a shadow and I have been referred under the two week rule for hospital investigations. Needless to say I am very worried and wondered whether anyone else has had similar experience?

Asthma or Heart Problem
Hi, I just wondered if anyone on here has been diagnosed with Asthma when actually they have a heart problem. I have been diagnosed with exercise-induced asthma and have tried 4 different inhalers now - none seem to help get rid of my breathlessness or cough but my peak flow readings are fine. I have

SVT triggered by orgasm
Hi I am 44 years old and male. I had my first SVT just over a year ago. I ended up in A&E and the SVT lasted almost an hour - my heart rate was about 200 bpm at one point. I was very afraid I was having a heart attack. My heart rate went back to normal by itself, without any medication. All the tests

Copd/ Asthma
Hello I've been asthmatic for 40 years but have had a lot of infections in the past year. I've had a chest x ray which showed no problems. I am now booked in for a spirometery test in a fortnight. I've looked up symptoms and the first symptoms are said to be coughing in the morning and breathlessness

CT scan with contrast (NOT of thyroid though....)
Hello all (again) :o) After a 2 month wait following a chest X-ray showing a (hilar?) shadow, i went to the referred appointment with a Respiratory Consultant. I won't bore you with all the details (3 hours at the hospital and no real outcome) but as part of the - thorough, admittedly - tests, I did
