Vitamin B12 and vitamin D3
Alarming: yesterday I was listening to a radio interview (this is in Canada on CBC radio). Apparently 40% of the population is low B12. And yet, just like NHS over by all of you, doctors here are being discouraged from even testing for B12 because each test costs $40 and it's too expensive. At the

Best Time to take Vitamin D3?
Hi, I am currently on a maintenance dose of 10,000 D3 a week, taking one 10,000 pill on Mondays. I've read that it doesn't matter if I take it in the morning with breakfast, which is around an hour after taking my thyroid medication. I've also read that it should be taken 4 hours apart from the thyroid

Prednisone? and teeth
For those of you with incipient tooth problems, perhaps caused by "bone thinning" - please make sure you are getting enough Vitamin D3 and, above all, Vitamin K2. I cut back my D severely for some time, because I'd had a high reading and, because I thought maybe I was taking too much K2 (apparently

Vitamin D3 and K2
Having been diagnosed last year with Vit D deficiency I have been taking 3000 iu of Vitamin D3 with 100 mcg of vitamin K2 this winter and my recent blood test was 121 nmol/L. Can I now lower my vitamin D3 dosage to 1000 iu and cease the vit K2 as I should get some vitamin D from the sunshine till September

A new recruit???
Hi, Not sure if I belong here or not! I have a number of medical conditions, symptoms of which seem to overlap with the symptoms of PA. My dad has recently been officially diagnosed with B12 deficiency after a lifetime of Macrocytosis and another close family member is struggling to get her GP to recognise

Struggling with doctors and gettin correct info/treatment
Hi this is my first post and probably the same story as everyone else but I am struggling to get the doctors to agree to more frequent injections and all they seem to want to do is push me towards depression/CFS/fibro. I found out I had low B12 at the end of 2013 (22yrs old) with a level of 126 pg/ml

synthetic corticosteroid
Solumedrol IV treatment- people are willing to use a synthetic corticosteroid when turmeric or frankincense oil or extreme high doses of Vitamin D3 can help, curious as to the why's?

Saw 2nd Endo Today
Ok so I did wind up fasting (no coffee until 4:00 this afternoon!) and saw my second Endo this morning at 9:45. I had sent a fax outlining my symptoms along with my previous bloodwork. Dr did test for testing metabolic rate and it showed that I have been eating 430 calories LESS than what I burn, so

Update on "25 years of Fosamax"
I have read all your replies and looked at similar posts as well over the 3 weeks since I joined this community. Many thanks to you all. I feel much less isolated and much more enlightened now. My husband phoned the Osteoporosis Group nurse for me (I am quite deaf and not good on phone). She related
