One week in and 2nd doctor appt.
Saw doctor one week after starting Pred and he’s more certain it’s pmr because the groin pain disappeared so quickly and he’s now added in alendronic acid and cholecalciferol. He’s ordered 2nd blood test for 23rd and then next appt on 30th. Both of the new drugs seem to do the same so are they both

VITIMIN D3
I have an underactive thyroid and have been experiencing tired sore muscles along with numbness/tingling in my feet. I've heard from various people with thyroid issues this can be due to deficiency in vitamin d. I currently have a reading of 46. I took 1000 of vitamin d3 for a while but this did nothing

SLE annual cardiovascular risk assessment & Vitamin D3 😎
The BSR Guideline recommends an annual CVD assessment (https://academic.oup.com/rheumatology/article/57/1/e1/4318863#105890718) so three years after diagnosis, when the Rheumy asked him to do it, I left my GP with Table 6 of the Guideline a couple of weeks ago. He's read it 🙌 and invited me to come

Suppressed T4 and TSH on NDT
Hello I ordered some blood tests from Thriva and sent them in last Monday. Whilst the experience has been very efficient, the lancets provided in the kit really hurt my fingers and I had to wear plasters for five days! I was disappointed to see that my T4 was still so low in the range. I take 1.5 grains

Help with B12 Deficiency
My gp treated my hypo, a vit D Deficiency, and a folate Deficiency with Levothyroxine,
fultium
d3
, and folic acid, but basically ignored my B12. I plan to go back to the gp and question this, but would it be better to self treat? She seemed quite unconcerned that my B12 was so low.

Help with understanding test results?
Hi everyone. In the last 18 months I have had many strange (and as yet undiagnosed) symptoms. Too many to list on here and not bore you all to death but my main worries are leg pains (intermittent claudication), leg weakness/pain, tingling hands/feet, fast heart rate when walking, left sided chest pain

Medicheck results - advice please?
I’ve just had bloods done with medicheck as I wanted to get a free T3 result as that hadn’t been checked before. Those results look fine to me(?), although I’m assuming with my TSH result I’m under-medicated, currently on 75mcg? Results are below. THS 4.69 (0.27-4.20) Free Thyroxine 18.800 (12.00-22.00

My latest blood test results - is everything now normal?
I was newly diagnosed as Hashi's in January/February this year (blood results previously posted) but not put on any medication because my TSH after a second test became in range. The only problem then was my deficient Vitamin D3 which has now been corrected with a prescription from the GP of Invita
