Fragmin

As I have been on fragmin in the past for pregnancy and really did not enjoy that and struggled doing it / had to get someone to do it for me. Also how did you feel on it please? Just a bit nervous about it all. Thank you in advance!

Hi ladies, Anyone who has previously done fragmin injections have you got any tips how to get the needle to go in easier? It’s pretty blunt and the needle is thicker than previous injections .

A colleague told me I should be taking fragmin as such a long flight! Does anyone have any advice?

We’re you put on clexane/fragmin etc? How has that worked for you and what was ongoing treatment? Also have you flown ok post bleeds on a plane? TIA

I am new and had embolectomy of iliac artery stents on both sides and after Fragmin I'm on Clopidogrel and after taking it my buttocks and legs ache!I don't know whether it's the stents or the medication. Anyone have similar. Thanks so much

So after my husbands varices bleed out and emergency operation my husbands consultant got him in with interventional radiology to perform procedure to remove blood clot from the shunt failed and the 2 back ups consultant had suggested failed due to 2 more blood clots (despite fragmin at 17000 injection

Fast forward varices have gone 🤞and now a switch of medication they've added rifaximin to lactulose and thiamine (and fragmin for clot and insulin for diabetes) but they've stopped the spironolactone which he can only have 3 days on then 4-5 days off until he sees his consultant and doctor in a week

My husband has a previous blood clot in thr portal vein which is why they had to perform TIPPS originally as it was stubborn clot It's still there despite the fragmin (17000) injection daily.

Hi again, Injured myself, like I wrote below, and have therefore been shooting 5000 IU of Fragmin every day, and not sure when I am allowed to quit it. I am writing this post since I am a bit unsure whether I should put baby aspirin on hold or not, or halve the dose.

I've been feeding him proper meals with greens, fruit no red meat etc since hes been 'sofa locked' and making him take his meds including fragmin, insulin and lactulose at regular times and he said he felt the best he'd felt in ages the other day.

The oesophagal varices have completely gone according to hospital but the clot in his portal vein is stubborn and despite fragmin daily its reducing very very slowly. The worry is they told him last week if he doesn't change his lifestyle he'll be dead within 2-5 years.

I will use Fragmin 5000 small injection for 27 days. A question Should they make a radiation treatment or not. The cancer tissue they send it to the Labratory and it will take time. Iam at home now and i will not lift the heavy things,and after the 2 weeks i wiil remove the band aid.

Started prontogest and fragmin yesterday . 😬 Did anyone else find the fragmin needle tough to push in and even pull out too? So I’m back on the 2WW . Give me the strength to get through without going crazy.

I’m being treated with fragmin for slightly elevated results for thrombophilia and (although told not wholly necessary) progesterone. I started the fragmin yesterday and this morning the residue from progesterone was tinged dark red. Is this the beginning of the end, or the fragmin??

I am my worse enemy on the rare ocassion as 3 times in the past 3 months I have missed my dose, which has meant my having 18000 ul fragmin (heparin) injections for a few days to counteract the missed dose. Sorry I've just checked above and even I cannot see a question there.

Results are all good 👍 so our consultant recommended Fragmin daily of transfer and also Aspirin only on day of successful pregnancy. We are grateful for professionals advice obviously but I thought I would of had to start taking Aspirin a few weeks before another FET.

Now trying to prepare mentally for all the waiting and anxiety ahead 🙈🫣not to mention fragmin and prontogest injections to look forward too!! Anyone else triggering this weekend ? Hope everyone’s cycles are going well ❤️❤️
