Worried about lack of mobility

Hello All,

So my husband who has Childs C and has had TIPPS procedure for Portal Vein clot has recently damaged his right leg (not broken but needs MRI as they think it tendon) and broken his left wrist. Needles to say he's not been mobile at all because can't use crutches for 2 weeks.

I've been feeding him proper meals with greens, fruit no red meat etc since hes been 'sofa locked' and making him take his meds including fragmin, insulin and lactulose at regular times and he said he felt the best he'd felt in ages the other day. I went out today for 6 hours left him food, meds accessible and came home he was fine, he's sleeping alot and in alot of pain but seems great until tonight. I woke him up as he needed to take fragmin late and (due to bloods being taken next week so changes to time to fit in with them visiting ) and he seemed to be talking nonsense intermittently, (he does suffer from ptsd) he knew where he was, who I was, his DOB etc but I'm worried slightly as his heart rate is high and temperature a little bit high. I've checked the British Liver site on HE and I don't think he's severe if it is that but I'm just wondering because he's weeing alot and only going to toilet for 'stools' once a day at moment could it be he's just exhausted and because not mobile and in pain things changed routine wise so this maybe normal and he's just exhausted because of broken sleep due to pain? He was absolutely fine best I've seen him tbh until tonight seems odd. Sorry I'm just a bit worried.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you I am in UK yes. He's much better, I think in hindsight it may have been high blood sugars and exhaustion. They coming to house to take his bloods tomorrow 👍

Hi, I always think that it’s best to ask if something is worrying you. And your husband has got a lot going on medically. The BLT helpline is open atm, and they’ve replied to you so I’d give them a ring for some advice.
