Fragmin Advise

Hi ladies,

Anyone who has previously done fragmin injections have you got any tips how to get the needle to go in easier? It’s pretty blunt and the needle is thicker than previous injections . I am 4 days in my stomach is completely black and blue, which is fine but I’m struggling to get the needle in!

ouch! I’m really sorry but I never did find a way! Very much a case of just force it through and swap sides each day. I found I bruised less if I injected really slowly but never found a way of getting the blunt needles in easier! Good luck x

It’s the pop that’s really mentally hard 😂🤮 as long as I know I am doing it okay I guess that’s all I needed to hear 😵‍💫

I've never been able to do any injections in my stomach for some reason, just don't like the idea. I've done everything (including fragmin) in my thighs. I still bruise and some sorts are worse than others because of needle size of general irritation (I'm looking at at you lubion!). Might be worth a try?

I also get a sort of heat rash from Lubion! I do that in my thighs, as it doesn’t seem as bad as when it’s on my stomach. But maybe should mix and match all of them. Thank you lovely!

Hello, I rubbed an ice cube over the area before Injecting which helped and reduced bruising too x

Ooh that's the stingy one. I did it in my thighs and made sure the area was cold first. Good luck!
