Day 2 embryo transfer done , 2 week wait begins

Frozen transfer complete. Day 2 embryo.

I asked what grade but just got a reply saying one was a bit slower than they expected and one was a bit faster? No idea what that means, probably not great but I didn’t push for anymore info.

They are all I have left so I didnt really have much of an option.

Although I’ll probably still go mad googling 🙈Any 2 day transfer positive stories would be appreciated.

Started prontogest and fragmin yesterday . 😬

Did anyone else find the fragmin needle tough to push in and even pull out too?

So I’m back on the 2WW . Give me the strength to get through without going crazy.

The little one is safe and back where he /she belongs safe and sound . Try to chill out during your 2WW - reread your favourite book - watch a complete boxset on TV - pamper yourself face pack , paint your nails the works ! Rest when you can - eat well and drink plenty . Take any medication you have been as directed .With your injection - are you maybe tensing up - that can cause the discomfort and trouble withdrawing the needle . Just get ready breath - relax and put the needle in smoothly .

Hope this helps - take care

Hi Janet , thanks :) Re: fragmin needle, again tonight the same happened, feels like the needle are blunt . Im normally fine , breathing out on insertion etc. but it’s a proper struggle 🙄

Good luck Rol81. I can't give you a success story unfortunately but wishing you well on your cycle. Presumably they just mean that when they thawed the embryos one was developing cells at a quicker rate than the other, take it as a good sign they both survived thawing 🙂

Hi Lizzie, thank you. Hope all well with you ❤️

Good luck with the transfer. If it helps, my best embryo didn’t take but my less good one did. Maybe it had to fight more. Yup, those fragmin injections are not as easy as the others. My clinic warned me of that. You have to be fairly firm with them and move away from the previous injection site each time. They were probably the ones I used the most bad words for but worth it. You are not going mad they are a bit more tricky than the other injections. You got this!

Thank you. I don’t feel as crazy with this one…yet! My husband wants me to try decanting into another syringe, tbh I might be tempted to try that if I keep finding it hard to pierce the skin. Don’t understand why they make it so blunt.

Anyway I’m sure I can’t beat you on the bad words 🫣 xxx

Aha, I didn’t even think to decant into another syringe. That’s a good idea. My husband has a serious amount of respect for me after all the jabs.x

I bet he did, they are proper tricky. But hopefully worth it. I’ll give it another try tonight before decanting !! I’m sure it can’t be any different as long as the needle is the same length ?! X
