Changing Pain Medication
Hi everyone I am currently taking 30mg Zomorph twice a day which appears to have lost effect as my pain has increased (I have 3 old
fractures
of the spine, osteoporosis of the spine and hips, osteoarthritis in 3 vertebrae, a slight bulging disc and rheumatoid arthritis).

To Provenge or not?
I am confused. My urologist recommends Provenge given my low cancer burden and that I am asymptomatic after RP, Taxane chemo, and two rounds of EBRT, all with Eligard every 3 months. Current PSA is 0.6 with a doubling time of 3 months. I am now castrate resistant. My research MO says forget Provenge

Unable to start W9! Feeling sorry for myself!
Been to have my elbow checked but they say no
fractures
just trauma to the elbow! As you can see it’s rather swollen and very painful! I also really pulled my groin area so walking is painful too! So, week 9 will have to be delayed a little ☹️ Not happy as I am so close to the finish line!

Biphasic effects of genistein on PC-3 cells.
New cell study below [1]. The biphasic effect of genistein has been discussed several times. It has been observed in PCa & BCa (breast) cell studies. The take home message is that physiological levels (from diet) might stimulate proliferation, while pharmacological levels are required to inhibit proliferation

Bum cramp and achilles twinge BUT a new PB for my 5K
So my 'monthly' challenge to improve on my 5K personal best was a success!: down from 41:17 to 38:24! I'm very chuffed. Possibly over did it a bit as I'm limping on both legs now, but I do think I enjoyed it! I felt like a runner, and it didn't feel slow. May be I should just do walks for a week

I’m almost afraid to say it, but the stress fracture pain from the bilateral sacral
fractures
...not sciatica after all...has settled down, PMR quiet, 20 mg. Prednisone and Leflumonide and the other 900 pills are making life good right now.

No fractures but back pain still an issue
I have had the results of my spine x-ray that confirm I have no
fractures
or indeed have ever fractured my spine. My bloods are all ok too, confirmed by the pain management consultant, as I do not see the rheumatologist until September.

Berberine and Xtandi
I was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer last year after bone pain sent me to the ER. I have mets all over my torso and skull. I have been on Lupron since then and through a course of Taxotere. My PSA dropped from 444 ng/mL to 7 ng/mL but started to go back up, so now Xtandi and Xgeva have been

Parkrun PB
I have struggled to keep up the running in the last couple of weeks since graduation and have only run a couple of times in a week. I felt a bit like I was losing my mojo without the program to work to. However, I’ve been out to my local parkrun this morning and set a PB that was a minute faster than

IM METHYLPREDNISONE EVERY 3-4 WEEKS LESSENS WEIGHT GAIN, FRACTURES, MOONFACE THAN ORAL METHYLPREDNISONE IN DOUBLE BLIND STUDY FROM 1997!
I was surprised 1) this has been known for 12 years 2) the lessening of side effects, such as weight gain, moonface,
fractures
... I am wondering how many of you are receiving IM Methylprednisone, not oral, and your experiences? Will try to share link if technology from my tablet allows.

Hi just been told that my hip limp is trendelenburg gait and I’m awaiting a physio appointment. Wondering if anyone here has developed this after a total hip replacement and how was your recovery from it. Thanks all 🤗 x

How long for PSA to drop when starting ADT?
Hi everyone. My partner was at 1.17 post RP (GS 4+5=9, SVI, N+). PSMA scan indicated some diffuse PCa remaining in the pelvic area (not enough to biopsy) and a possible met to the right rear hip bone. He started firmagon a month ago and had his first Lupron shot Friday. Repeat PSA from Friday before
