Start Running again after injury. Which week?
I completed C25K nearly 2mths ago and was running 30-40 mins 3 times a week for a month until 2 weeks ago when I got shin splints. I'm only now ready to start running again but don't feel confident going straight back into 30 min runs. I thought about starting midway through the C25K program, but which

Should I stay or should I go....
That was my dilemma this morning. Had a terrible night... just a few hours disturbed sleep. When the alarm went off at 5, I couldn't have felt less like getting out of bed, let alone going out for a run. I was so torn.... my head voice was telling me I should just put the run off until tomorrow, so

Actemra twist
Just saw my rheumatologist today. I’m having some trouble with the veins on my right arm during my monthly IV treatments of Actemra. I had a left side mastectomy so I can only use my right arm for blood pressures, injections, blood draws and IVs. Veins are not holding up too well after all that’s been

W3R1- The Hardest Part
I’ve been a little quiet lately but the good news is I haven’t stopped running, I just didn’t have the mental energy to write about the last ones, especially after my last epic saga of the mundane was lost to the depths of my iPhone last week. So anyway I ran on Saturday after a chain of unexceptional

I need a new back.
For some time now I have asked myself is it actually worth it, putting up with side effects and feeling generally unwell after being put on one treatment after another, then going on to have 6 spinal

Week 5 Run 1 💪
A little worried about starting this week, I had spent the weekend reading through various posts on here to keep me motivated and give me inspiration. I went out at my usual time, just after 8am, the field I run on, opposite my house, was cool and just the usual dog walkers around. I love it at this

Good afternoon all, I like to think myself as an early morning runner, getting my exercise in before I start work. However, I really struggled to drop off to sleep last night, no particular reason, just one of those nights when I couldnt stop my brain from thinking! Alarm went off at 5:45am as normal

Can A Person Take a Break From Lupron?
My dad is on Lupron and Xgeva. He hates the shots and I don't why he has to receive them along with Xtandi and numerous horrible side effects. Why do doctors make you get the shots every month?

***Great monthly exam. ***
Just got back from my Doctor's appointment. The Doc said he couldn't be happier with my progress. My blood tests all came back with good numbers, PSA 0.1, scans show no progression Mets are all stable. I have the utmost confidence in my medical team and with the help of my family and friends especially

COVID-19 'Super Spreaders' Quickly Fill Room With Virus -- But Masks Help.

14 year journey
I was diagnosed in Oct 2006. 14 years ago, just after I turned 51. My base PSA was 38.8, GS score was 4+3=7. I did the dual radiation thing with the seeds and the external beam (IMRT). Then after 5 years I started Lupron intermittently. 1 yr on 1 yr off. Next I did the immunotherapy treatment Provenge

Fracture liason nurses.
Hi, a few members have mentioned speaking with their fracture liason nurses. I live in the UK and attend a bone clinic but have never been told of or heard of this kind of nurse. In the last week I have had yet another fracture this is my second in 9 weeks. I now have 6 in total, not on any treatment
