PSA 0.04 after 6 years

Hi Guys: It has been a while since I last posted but here is the latest going on with me...7 months ago my PSA had gone from undetectable to 0.03..I was soo disappointed after having joined the undetectable club for over 5 years. Oncologist told me then that it was clinically insignificant. Retested 3 months later (August 7 2020) It was still at 0.03. I asked and he gave me a 5 month PSA testing vacation.. Tested a few days ago and it is now 0.04. He still says that it is insignificant.. He ordered scans which came out negative with no evidence of metastatic disease. He told me that 6 years ago when I was diagnosed the scans lit up like a Xmas tree. Abdominal CAT scan also found no evidence of metastatic disease. So I guess that the beast is slowly rising it's head, but I am grateful that it is not yet raging. The Oncologist informed me that my disease is totally under control...Good way to start 2021 after the most miserable year (2020) imaginable in many respects.

I feel good, regularly exercise so all is good for now.

I hope the start of 2021 is good for you guys also and please, please stay well and get your vaccine as soon as you can.

Cheers

Is this without ADT?

I wish...Firmagon and Casodex...

That makes a lot more sense, now. If PSA starts to rise, try getting rid of the Casodex - sometimes the cancer evolves to feed on it.

Hi TA...I realize this and my Oncologist mentioned this to me.. He said that 20% or so achieve a PSA drop after discontinuing Casodex.. I wish that Darolutamide would get approved for guys like me...everything I read is that it works as well as Xtanti with fewer side effects. Do you have any word when that may happen?

It is certainly the hope that SEs are fewer with Nubeqa, but there are no comparative studies yet to prove that. One (Nubeqa vs Xtandi) is scheduled for Sept 2022, but schedules are all topsy turvy now.

The Darolutamide trial for men with metastatic hormone-sensitive PC was scheduled to have early results in June 2021

IF you have no evidence of metastatic disease and have undetectable PSA , why are you on ADT and casodex?

Your doctor is correct this are insignificant. They could be due to small irritations or inflammations. Watch for three consecutive rises greater than 0.05.
