Low fodmap diet
I've been on the low
fodmap
diet for just over 2 weeks. I have a book and the monash app., no gp/dietician advice. I'm doing it dairy free and also avoiding gluten.

New to this IBS
Trying to work out which foods from
FODMAP
upset my tum is a nightmare - I'm listing everything I eat and drink but then deciding which one has caused the diarrhoea and pain the following day is 'a minefield' - how does anyone else cope?

Has anybody been diagnosed with Gilbert's syndrome?
I've had lots of bloods ct scan and gastroscopy and I've followed the
fodmap
diet. Things finally are settling down and i Saw the consultant again on Friday he thinks I have slow transit which was causing over flow 😪 and I'm to continue with precalopride for a few months.

How did you manage your initial diagnosis?
Well, sorry, but I do my research and I know full well that she was suggesting something like the low
FODMAP
diet and I KNOW that this should be conducted under supervision of a dietitian and/or GP. I’ve been placed on Mebeverine which has worked really quite well.

Acupuncture.
I've been doing quite well for a long time - no major flare ups - ticking along on low
fodmap

Anyone have IBS AND upper digestive issues?
She has given up offering anything for the IBS because alongside low
fodmap
, nothing seems to help me. The gastroenterologist told me it’s ‘just’ IBS so he can’t help me and I’m to go to my gp! Argh! I am stuck in a vicious cycle with a very unhappy digestive system every day 😩

Has anyone tried Mebeverine or Alverine Citrate?
I am low
fodmap
, listen to gut directed hypnotherapy and the Headspace app yet everyday my guts are unsettled, gurgling, growling, popping, feel like I need the loo even when I’ve been. Bloating and gas. Lots of upper digestive issues too. Occasionally peppermint helps.

Pain after bowel movement
Gp printed
fodmap
diet for me which i started a week ago and will try for about four weeks. I dont seem to have typical symptoms of IBS, but it covers everything I believe if tests don't show up anything. It's odd and a pain that the pain continues after a bowel movement.

I eat a healthy diet , high in fibre , but low
FODMAP
, I drink at least 4 litres of water a day & walk about 20,000 steps a day . I take Prucalopride but have had to add Senna as well now , as things have been slowing down .

Intermittent diarhoea
Have tried
Fodmap
diet and discarded gluten, lactose, caffeine, red meat and spicy foods. Do have periods of normal bowel function - if only it was permanent. Have intermittent left upper back and front pain - all reported to doctor. Any solutions?

Nausea at night
I've done the
FODMAP
diet, but no intolerances were identified. As I get alot of pain in my pelvis I'm due to have a laparoscopy (to check for Endo) joint with a cystoscopy. I should be having these done in the next few weeks, maybe my nausea is due to extra worry about the procedures..?

Is FODMAP diet useful for RLS even if no digestive issues?
I've read where some of us have found some relief by following the
FODMAP
diet, which is beneficial for those with any kind of inflammatory bowel disease.

What can I eat on the fodmap diet?
Does anyone know of any websites for meal plans while on the
FODMAP
diet or what you can and can’t eat? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated :)

Do these things work for anyone?
., and with concurrent diet watching with low
fodmap
, I got totally better quickly. I am now going through a terrible period post antibiotics (IV and oral) in February for a weird idiopathic bacterial infection in my parotid gland and neck tissue. Within one day I was admitted to hospital.
