Fludrocortisone update for low BP.
Higher dosage of
fludrocortisone
has failed to consistently keep blood pressure readings within normal limits. The drops in BP have become more frequent with outcomes that are ugly.

Information on Fludrocortisone
I give you a report back on my experience with
fludrocortisone
. I suffer from low blood pressure that is thought to be possibly neurogenic in origin. I was treated with the above drug for symptomatic relief only.

As a result of this test, my former endocrinologist then had me increase my HC dosage to 20 mg AM, and 20 mg PM, and added
fludrocortisone
0.1 mg daily.

I have had my synthensen test and it has come back with base line- 166 and after an hour 623...I had to ring for my results but the lady told me I have been prescribed

Newbie here, asking when to call the doctor and what symptoms to just put up with. Plus slight detour for life story (Grab hankie or bucket)
And this is on
fludrocortisone
to raise the BP thus bringing down the tachycardia. It could have been a lot higher without it).)

I'm 0ff pred ,but restarted on hydrocortisone and fludrocortisone for Addisons.
As I've said in title I've restarted hydrocortisone and fludro ,i must admit I don't feel any better fatigue wise and muscle weakness continues .I'm presuming these are cortiscosteroids . I'm fed up with feeling crap and been overtook by 70 yrs olds while out for a stroll. I've got the lot pmr gca,type1

Hello, newbie here, know little about A F, diagnosed only last week (paroxysmal). Also already have PoTS so v confused by this combination.
Taking
fludrocortisone
100 mcg daily for the POTS. So, I have AF despite low BP, and when I was admitted as an emergency, B p was low and variable, 70-odd over 40-odd, 80-odd over 50-odd, & so on. (Pulse 190-odd and over, when I ran 111, reduced to 160-odd when I got to hospital - why?)

Gabapentin vs. Pregabalin
Despite moderate exercise and a healthy diet I have gained 2 stone since starting on steroids (15mg pred and 75mcg
fludrocortisone
). Basically, I was wondering if anyone had experience of switching from gabapentin to pregabalin and how they found it?

Fludrocortisone
I am 16 and have been taking
fludrocortisone
for 1 year. I was diagnosed with vasa vagal syncope. The fainting started out of the blue when I was 13 and I still have the occasional faint even in the
fludrocortisone
. I also take lisinopril for high blood pressure.

I was prescribed
