Been away for a bit...depression hit hard
Hello M.S. family. I haven't written in a few months, but I have been reading posts to keep up with everyone. It's been a pretty rough time for me. At the end of March, my mom passed away, and I have just been reeling. My grief has left me exhausted, numb, and feeling like I'm in a fog. The depression

Prostate Humor (because sometimes you just need a laugh
1. I signed up for ADT after the Urologist told me that the treatment would leave me impotent. I mean, who doesn’t want to be famous and admired? 2. My MO told me that my prostate cancer treatment might ruin me financially. I’m not sure what he was talking about. So far I’m saving bank on petroleum

Input Needed.
Hi, Looking for some communal input from this knowledgeable forum. First, some bullet point history to help fine tune the responses: • I was diagnosed with advanced stage, mPC in mid-2020. I have a rare type of PC that does not exhibit elevated PSA. It’s very aggressive and difficult to treat. My PSA

Flomax and Me
How do you know when you can go off of flomax? Long term side effects? I'm 3 months out from my radiation therapy at Kaiser. My flomax script was over at 6 weeks post radiation! Then, my urination was very painful, demanding and frequent. My doctor had no comment other than this was a result of the

Xtandi-Lupron Side Effect Questions
My husband is 81, diagnosed spring of 21 with metastatic PC. PSA of 89. By July 21 they had him on Lupron and Xtandi by September. His numbers went way, way down so they were able to cut him back to half the Xstandi to help with dizziness issues that Xstandi & Flomax were causing, that helped but numbers

Flomax dosage 2x a day?
Anyone out there taking Flomax twice a day and if so, are you taking two doses at one time or spacing them out? If you are taking two was this on advice or consult with your doctor? My PA is suggesting I take 2 doses as I am getting up 8-9 times at night, of course the radiation therapy is probably

I'm 84 and diagnosed with PC 5 months ago. I was told I had High Risk Localized PC with a Gleason score of 8.
I was put on Firmagon immediately and took 45 radiation IMRT sessions, which I just finished. Although the pet and bone scans showed no signs of spread outside the prostate, I am also taking 500mg of Zytiga with 5mg of Prednisone as a precaution, . I also take .4 mg Flomax (I no longer have fainting

Pain and bleeding 1-1/2 years post radiation
Hi Everyone, Hubby is a year and a half out from SBRT and Brachy. They did use the "spacer gel" for protection. He's been taking flomax, but this past couple of months he's had a lot of pain while peeing, and last week some blood. Urinalysis shows no infection, but on Thursday doctor suggested a cycle

I tried Ocrevus after a friend of mine threw away her cane as if Oral Roberts squeezed her head. She went on and on about how great Octevus was to her which led me switch to it from Rebif. Bad move on my part. The Ocrevus not only did not work but seemed to make my symptoms worse. Because of that my
