Flomax long-term?
I've been on Flomax (tamsulosin) since my positive biopsy in June 2022. In that time, I've had 2 years of ADT and 44 sessions of proton radiation, and am now done with treatments and all other drugs for the time being. It was initially prescribed at 2x/day, which was helpful during and after radiation

Radiation Starts, Bye Bye Urethra?
D-Day arrives August 6th for IG/IMRT. Two very kind and empathetic technicians attend to my placement on the treatment bed. Lasers aligned, they leave the room and this giant green machine (which I had not previously met) begins whirring and gyrating about my torso with beeps and clunks. I sense that

Brand new here. Whopping high first PSA test
I see Urology tomorrow. I'm 68 and had my first PSA test ever last week. The result was 33 ng/ml and my family practice MD was alarmed and referred me right away. For the past 2 yrs I've been taking Flomax, 1 at night, to help with frequent urination at night. It also has helped with starting/stopping

Restless Legs
Hi all - curious if any of you are experiencing pretty intense restless legs? I am a triplet therapy patient and am through the chemo and radiation (maybe quad therapy:)) so wondering if somehow Darolutamide is contributing to this? I also take a statin, a reflux pill, vitamin D, flomax, and cialis

3months Post-HD Brachytherapy
Follow up from my previous post & many thanks to the helpful advice from members here. I scheduled a teleconference with Dr Albert Chang at UCLA in November, scheduling is 3 months out so treatments were Feb.3 and 6. Normally a week apart but since I flew in they did 3days apart. We stayed at the Luskin

Long term SBRT toxicities
2 weeks post SBRT 5 sessions for low risk intermediate and the short term SEs have diminished, no longer taking the flomax and rectal issues were minimal. Are the acute/short term SEs severity a predictor for long term/ chronic SE issues?

Estrogen patch to improve quality of life
Could the men here who use estrogen patches at "just to feel good" levels comment on your experience? Mr. Spouse21 will be getting spot radiation to a single spinal tumor very soon. Thanks to everyone who encouraged that instead of Pluvicto at this time. His two oncologists agreed as did a radiation

My treatment decisions
I want to thank this forum for men helping other men. I will list my experience in the hope it may help others. I especially want to thank Tall-Allen, whose advice and work on this forum is, to me, a truly meaningful endeavor, and when all is said and done, this is what life is about. I was diagnosed

Enlarged Prostate
I have an enlarged prostate and I am trying to determine if I should be taking medicines or have a procedure such as TURP. I would like to get some experiences of people that have taken Flomax or other medicines to reduce the prostate size. I have an allergy to sulfa, what makes me a little nervous about

Enhancing my urinating experience?
Guys, Several weeks ago I started experiencing slow and weak urine stream for first time since diagnosis almost 6 years ago. This, coupled with rise in PSA, triggered my oncologist to order both MRI and PSMA scan. Would appear things are progressing and got referrals to radiation oncologist and urologist
