Flomax

Also unsure of drug interaction as he is on Orgovyx, Zytega, Cylais, Flomax, prednisone. Any input appreciated.

I was put on Tamsulosin/Flomax 8 months ago - I had no problem with peeing before going on it but after coming off it because of side effects, for the last 2 months I have had increased urgency, thin stream but lots of pee! I don't know what's going on. Jonathon Price, UK

I am on ADT (Orgovyx, Abiraterone, prednisone), and Flomax. The ADT will coninue for at least 2 years. Last week, tested positive for Covid; put on Paxlovid- was advised to stop Flomax while on Paxlovid. Continuing with the other meds.

Currently, I have Covid, and have stopped my Flomax for 10 days, as advised, while taking Paxlovid. This has reminded me that my life is much more comfortable with Flomax, as without it I have some urgency and a chronically weak stream. Is there a downside to staying on it long-term?

I started generic Flomax 4 treatments in, and urinary issues seem to be well contained at present. Lower energy on top of 6 years of Lupron, but still exercising.

Recently saw post which suggested a possible side effect of Tamsulosin ie Flomax could be AF? Anyone have any evidence of this..been taking it for twenty years!

I have been on Flomax since then, which did not mitigate the pain or frequency issues...but continued becasue of Dr. encouragement that it would sort itself out. Fired that doctor. New Urologist is better BUT didn't address the issue until a scan revealed irritation/damage to my bladder.

He also takes flomax. He’s tried twice now and was unable to urinate on his own. Help!!

Pill wise, I'm still on the daily Orgovyx, have added blood pressure meds (a game changer), and Flomax. PSA in June: 0.71 and T: 25; August: 0.87 and T: 22.

Flomax is not getting it done. I have a lot of choices: TURP, TUIP, TUMT, PAE, laser surgery, electro-vaporization, ultrasound, steam ablation, water jet, HoLep, PVP etc, etc. I have not researched any of these in any great degree. Any comments appreciated.

Was only on Flomax for a few weeks post-treatment. Sleeping through the night most nights for more than a year and a half now. Bowel issues: None at all, from the beginning. Everything is like it's always been, since day one after treatment.

Was treated for frequent urination with Flomax in the past,, but hasn't been on it for a long time. Any recommendations for doctor for initial consultation? Thanks

I also take a statin, a reflux pill, vitamin D, flomax, and cialis. Obviously this is tough to pinpoint and I understand that - but just curious if others have any thoughts. Thanks

2 weeks post SBRT 5 sessions for low risk intermediate and the short term SEs have diminished, no longer taking the flomax and rectal issues were minimal.Are the acute/short term SEs severity a predictor for long term/ chronic SE issues?

Flomax was added to deal with any potential urinary flow issues due to radiation. PSA level, after ADT started, has gone down from 9.2 to .02 (Ultrasensitive PSA). No side effects thus far (apart from hot flashes). Waiting game starts. ADT will continue for 2 years.

5 sessions all complete for my low risk intermediate pc at Christies Manchester UK today.Started flomax yesterday for some urinary urgency hopefully that will resolve itself, a bit loose from the rectum this morning but nothing else.I'll get back to you all in the coming yrs about late side effects,

For the past 2 yrs I've been taking Flomax, 1 at night, to help with frequent urination at night. It also has helped with starting/stopping and urge to pee. Between my MD and me we landed on BPH as the more likely thing and up till now never considered testing PSA level.

Had hesitancy & reduced stream for a week , stayed on flomax and went away. Was supposed to take flomax for a month but stayed on it 3 months as when I tried stopping, hesitancy and reduced stream would recur. No GI side effects. Yesterday checked my first PSA, 0.8. ( was 7 at treatment).

Should we be concerned about estrogen interactions with Lupron/Xgeva/Flomax/Losartin? Thanks if you have personal experience to share to bring us up to speed.
