Since my first test results were lost I had another sample taken seven weeks after my loading doses doses.Would this have affected the results?

I had my test for antibodies to I. F. after I had been dosing myself with large quantities of methylcobalamin sub linguals and I was wearing about 6 B12 skin patches .So my b12 serum was sky high. This did not affect the outcome as I tested positive and officially had PA .But ,as you might know ,you can have P.A and test negative . So if you are one of those patients you might think it was because of the B12 serum result . It ain't necessarily so ! Tricky isn't it ? Our chairman Martyn Hooper tested negative twice for I F antibodies but he had serious PA all the time . But as we know , symptoms are the best guide .
All the best to you .
Hi wedgewood. It certainly is tricky and confusing! I wonder if you have any advice for me. I tested positive for pa a couple of months ago, 2.47 was the reading when 1.2 or below is negative. B12 bloods were over 2000, usually 220-250, however I had a few injections in the previous fortnight. I read this can give you a false positive for pa? I have been on loading injections every second date for 2 months. Down to two a week now ans symptoms have returned with a bang... weak right arm, painful joints, pins and needles, fogginess. I feel like I'm back to square one and might not even have pa now. Seeing as neurologist next week but feeling worried and frustrated...any advice? Many thanks.
