Dense adhesions after 15 surgeries, + 2 rare medical conditions

I’m only 3 months into my possible IBS journey and am 6 days into a flare up. I did Dry February and was IBS free!! However we went on holiday and I had wine. Got back on Thursday and on Friday it started…has anyone noticed that alcohol exacerbates IBS? The doctor has given me mebeverine which might

Vitamins D and K7
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism nine months ago, and prescribed 50mcg levothyroxine per day. No mention was made of Vitamin D results or any related issues like ferritin,or B12. I take Vitamin D 2200iu throughout Winter, and, as of October 23, after some online research, added Vitamin K2, 100 ug.

super high gastrin level
hi there - I just got diagnosed with pernicious anemia, autoimmune gastritis, and Barrett’s esophagus 3 months ago. My gastrin in sept was 200, in Dec it was 1000, and now in March it is 2500. It’s escalated so quickly and my doctor just ordered a scan for neuroendocrine tumors. I’m freaking out —

Afinitor +ESR1 mutation for the hive mind.
Hi I am starting Afinitor on Wednesday after a mixed scan a few weeks ago after 6 months on Orserdu. It suddenly dawned on me that Afinitor is combined with estrogen therapy, likely an AI. But doesn't the ESR1 mutation cause AI resistance? In which case does that make Afinitor less effective? I will

Getting tested after taking any supplements...
Hi there, I found this information after worrying that I have lost my mind due to GP responses, on top of all of my very B12 like symptoms, Inc. Neurological. Post Rheumatology Appointment
Thank you to everyone who gave me advice for my Rheumatologist appointment yesterday......it was my first one and I thought I'd give an update on my experience at Benenden Hospital. I have posted this as a response in my original thread too but thought I'd start a new post to see if people found it useful

vitamin deficiencies
I had most of my sigmoid removed because of diverticulitis five years ago. My question is my surgeon said that it should not affect my vitamin or mineral intake because the sigmoid doesn’t involve that. Got on finding that it most certainly does I get a B12 injection because I’m a vegetarian so that

it’s not an area I know much about with a B12 level of 433 (187-833) would I qualify for B12 injections?

still confused about my iron results
I’ve now redone my iron panel with medichecks and have similar results to last time. I can’t work out why my ferritin continues to drop. And what I can do about it as I know I need higher ferritin levels for optimum thyroid hormone function. …………………………… Ferritin……….Iron……….. Trans. Sat………..TIBC……….

new MBC drug for PIK3CA mutation in Hr+HER- breast cancer survivors
On Nov 16, 2023, the FDA approved another drug for those who have developed the PIK3CA. Mutation after first line treatment for the HR+HER- type. It’s another drug in the same vein as PIQRAY which also has to be used with Fulvestrant. This one is from AstraZeneca but it seems to have all the same side

Does anyone have CtDna blood test added In their monitoring routine?
Hi! Kim 43 MBC since 3/2021. I do alot of reading of clinical trials and medical journals. I found this CtDna blood test that SUPPOSEDLY detects cancer cells in the blood up to 10 months sooner than a Petscan. My Oncologist didn't know about this testing so after fielding out all the companies that do

Scared and Frustrated
The beginning of February i thought i had the beginnings of maybe a stomach bug. Bloating, gas, sudden urge and need to use the bathroom.... only nothing would come, just mucus and very very small amounts if unformed fluff. This continued till I noticed i hadn't had a real movement for nearly two weeks
