Yes, I have a brain injury, but no, I am not thick.
Just need a quick vent..... Today I had a steroid injection in my thumb at my local hospital. Very efficient lady did it, very little pain, very pleased. I won't bore you with the details, but I had to explain to her that I have great difficulties with organising my thoughts, remembering stuff, planning

Giant thoracic disc prolapse and thoracic surgery
Hi there. I am not sure exactly how this site works or if I am posting this in the right place? I posted this weeks ago under neuro support but have not had any replies so thought I'd try here?! I have recently been diagnosed with severe spinal cord compression as a result of a thoracic disc prolapse

About antidepressants
Hi in regards to your post about do antidepressants work I have been taking them for going on 15 years + and out of this time I have been weaned off them and back on them I am sort of wondering that the NHS isn’t doing their jobs right as if it was just depression I would have been sorted by now and

Antabuse advice please.
I have been prescribed Antabuse by my Dr (at my request) but they have been sitting in my bedside cabinet for the past 4 months ... Having read what they can do to you if you accidentally consume alcohol, I am very nervous about taking them. However if I don't, I know I am harming my body quite seriously

Long time, no post...
I've been a little bit absent recently... on the IC, I'm afraid, both from running and from life in general having aggravated my Achilles in the Hateful Hokas and split up with my partner. My choice (on both counts actually!) But still hurts. Anyhow, decided I couldn't just not do anything so joined

Advice wanted

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help I have recently been diagnosed with IBS-D and currently on the 9th day of a flare up. I had a rather spicy curry which has triggered this (though I’m usually fine with spicy food). I have severe diarrhoea and cramps. I have been sticking to low FODMAP foods and even

Wk4r2 - reminder to self:follow the plan
Today I ran wk4r2 and found it considerably harder than run 1. I have myself to blame. I decide to deviate from the plan and yesterday instead of having a rest day i decided I would just get on the treadmill mill and run in my impatience to progress. I ran for 13 minutes though felt I could probably

Resolor/ prucalopride experience
Hi I was prescribed Resolor 2mg 1 tablet 2 weeks ago. I had side effects for about 2/3 days. Headache, nausea and then the side effects wore off and around day 4 they stopped working. I’ve continued to take them as they worked fantastically the first couple of days and I’m praying for a miracle. Last

No more Linaclotide!
I have been on Linaclotide for 20 months and it has been brilliant, life changing. I now cannot get hold of these tablets, manufacturing problem, I believe. Can anyone recommend a different medicine that they have used which has been successful? I am struggling with prucalopride! Since not having Linaclotide

Questions to ask consultant slow transit constipation Rectocele medication and management
Hi I have managed to get an appointment for Thursday with my consultant. My gp told me there were problems with slow transit and prolapse so I’m wondering what questions I should be asking? Hi, I'm really struggling to get my Script filled in the UK due to shortages. I'm living the the north of england. My GP doesn't know an alternative and isn't clued up on the drug at all. I have IBS-C, fiber products make it worse. And I can eat max doses of laxative without movement. If I stop using
