Post concussion syndrome
So I’m 2 Years in from my accident with 2 small brain bleeds. Still struggle with dizziness and a pulsating head, fatigue and short term memory loss, all normal but frustrating and still unable to work. This isn’t constant but recovery is incredibly slow. I seem to struggle with reading glasses feel

Reducing Pred and side effects
Hello all you lovely people and a belated Happy New Year. I haven’t been on here for ages, but don’t know what to do really. My GP is slowly weaning me off the Pred. I’ve had no problems at all, but just a few days after reducing from 3 mg to 2, I started to feel pretty grotty: head pain, nausea, and

Laxido for fecal impaction. What to expect?
Hi, I was in hospital yesterday and told I have a fecal impaction and given laxido, told to take 8 sachets in six hours. I am on my glass now and already starting to feel the effects. I had imagined that it would just soften the blockage enough for me to pass as a type 4 stool? I currently have diarrhoea

Drug trial that could improve respiratory recovery from COVID-19 now underway.
Patients suffering from COVID-19 pneumonia often develop very low levels of oxygen, called hypoxia, in the arterial blood supplying the body. Researchers from the University of Oxford hypothesise that the underlying problem is that the virus disrupts a normal process in the lungs called hypoxic pulmonary

Thiamine mononitrate relieved tremors?
Did it work for you? He said, “Roy Propsner I didn't know that. But this stuff works really good for my wife. Before she started to taking it she shook so hard it made her cry. Now she is real calm and can handle anything without dropping it and she doesn't fall like she used to.” Doug Collins

How do I cope with video calls
Hi, my husband has been in ICU on a ventilator for a month having contracted Covid at Christmas. He was given a tracheostomy last week and today I was able to have a video call with him for the first time. Obviously he can not speak, but I think he recognised me. I found it quite distressing to see him

Stool colour changes
Hi. Just a quick question. I have noticed recently that I have had some slight stool colour changes. Every now and then my stool has dark bits in it like dark brown/green. This isn’t all the time it is sporadic. I also have quite a bit of undigested food such as pepper skins or veggies. Sorry if TMI.

Teething and vomiting
Hi everyone, My daughter is nearly 5 months old, and she's started teething from around 3 - 4 months. I was wondering if anyone knows if teething can cause vomiting? Her cheeks are red and she's biting on her hands and teethers. She doesn't seem unsettled as such, but she is throwing up milk a lot.

Thread to help those suffering with birth trauma
Hi there I thought I'd create this thread for people to vent about their birth experiences I've noticed since the birth of my daughter 10 days ago there's not much support there are health visitors and midwives but I'm finding the support inadequate for example this morning I get a call from the midwife

Secondary pneumonia- post covid/ventilator
Hi everyone, My dad is off the vent and off sedation. He is breathing on his own but still in the hospital. However, today they said his breathing was a bit laboured. They also said his white blood count was low. They are suspecting secondary bacterial pneumonia. They have already started treating it

Excess Mucous
My husband has excess mucous which causes him to cough all the time and he can’t ever really clear his throat which causes him to talk with a gurgle most times. The Neurologist has given him Atropine drops which helped initially but their affect has now worn off. The Neuro has now suggested Botox injections

Happy New Year
To everyone and good health and early, early letter inviting us for a vaccine appointment. For me, I pushed my ET diaognosis to the back of my mind and just could not face it.
