Hi

Your starting out on a long road to recovery

They gave him a 5% chance and he’s proved them wrong

No doctor can predict your partners outcome

Sometimes there bedside manners are questionable

It takes time

So much so that you won’t believe

While your in the very beginning stages you need help yourself

Ask the nurses they will put you in touch with someone who can

Breathe try to sleep. Go see you doctor yourself if you can’t

Have faith in your partners strength and never give up fighting for him

Take care

Hi there

My husband was attacked December 2019, had a few bleeds in the brain, had to get bone flap removed and we were told if he survived he would be severely brain damaged. My husband and I are now living in a flat attached to Rehab for the Brain Injured. His biggest problem is he cannot speak, there has been too much damage done during the bleed and operations that followed. Please just take it one day at a time and hopefully your fiancé will also make a recovery.

Your life will definitely change but it doesn't have to be for the worst. We are just thankful my husband is still with us. He can now shower, dress, cook for himself now, these are all the things he re-learns every day in rehab so please give him all the support and love you have and best of luck xx

Hi Kmarler. I had a brain aneurysm 2 years ago. Didn’t have much chance but thankfully I managed. Recovery is very long. It takes time. Believe in doctors they know what they’re doing. And how someone said before try to get some rest and sleep. You’ll need that later. I hope he’ll wake up soon.

All the best. If you have any questions or just would like to peak with someone let me know.

Take care please and look after yourself please.
