Before my sct I had significant fibrosis of my bone marrow. I have recently had a bone density scan which is in the osteopenia levels but I am 71. I don't really know what happens to the fibrosis after the sct. Has anyone with MF had fractures etc that doctors say may have been exacerbated by the mpn?

Myelofibrosis and osteopenia/osteoporosis
Hi, my heamatologist told me it slowly disappears and gets back to normal. But this can take a few years, sometimes faster. I also don’t know if fibrosis has something to do with fractures. I will have my bone marrow puncture this week Thursday. My one year milestone.
I just had a bone density test the other day. I went to the orthopedic doctor last week and brought him a disc from a ct scan I had in March. He said he thinks I have a cyst on my spine and I’m scheduled for a MRI tomorrow for further review. He called it a Lytic cyst and added that it could be caused by my fibrosis.
I'm post PV MF and have had 5 spinal fractures since my mpn diagnosis. For several months last year I had what I thought was sciatica but it turned out to be a cyst on the base of my spine.
