Advice on ferritin of 18
So here are my recent b12 and ferritin results. B12 looks ok, but ferritin is 18 (range is 15 - 300).I’m tired and my hair is falling out. My TSH is suppressed, and T3 and T4 towards the top of the range. I have no worries about these levels. Question?- will maintaining my healthy, iron rich diet, along

Another half marathon 12/9/21 💜
The last 3k was tough going, had a few Paula Radcliffe moments along the way 🤣 fuelled by Percy 🐷, coconut water with a pinch of sea salt (used too much salt during first HM which acts as an enema - lesson learnt 😂) Well happy, ran another half marathon 12/9/21 especially as since first one on 11/

Rituximab and statins - a good combo?
They're my main ones...along with a concoction of other meds: omeprazole, vitamin D3, folic acid, calceous,
ferrous
sulphate
and etoricoxib. Oh, I'm seropositive RA and I'm flaring big time - high CRP & ESR.

Input would be greatly appreciated.
I was given a prescription for either
Ferrous
Sulphate
or Folic Acid and it was left at that. Throughout the following years I've yearly visited my GP surgery with tiredness and pins and needles in my arms and I've been given either
Ferrous
Sulphate
or Folic Acid.

sulphate
, folate, B12, D, B6, A, C, Selenium and lots of fish oil. I have some eyedrops.

New to hypothyroidism-Looking for help re blood test results please
I am also currently taking
Ferrous
Sulphate
for low Ferritin levels but this has now increased from 7 to 98 so I do wonder if this dosage can be reduced now too I am feeling a lot better , certainly more energy & less fatigued.

Ferritin of 56
I have started taking a maintenance dose of
ferrous
sulphate
again and feel slightly better. Is a level of 56 too low? I currently take Armour and a small amount of levothyroxine and my recent blood results were optimal. TSH 1 and T3 in upper range with T4 middle range.

Anaemia and Ferrinject Infusion in Pregnancy
Hello Mums, I need some words of advice/reassurance as I'm feeling very worried. Gentle iron supplements
Can anyone recommend a iron supplement that is gentle on the stomach and doesn't make you constipated, but is also a decent dose? I'm on ferrous sulfate from the doctor having lost a lot of blood in a c section 9 weeks ago, and my levels are still not great (33 ug/l, range 13-150), so I need a good dose

Has anyone had ferritin as high as 557
I just had my 1st lab tests since my restless legs increased last spring. I take ferrous sulfate 3 times a day. My ferritin tested at 557 which needless to say really surprised me.

Everything is playing up in turns!
I was interested to learn about Epsom salts, thank you. Any tips for hips? Peripheral nerve damage in the legs & a degenerative spine are standard, and being taken care of as well as poss. But a really dodgy knee (recorded) and now these hips jumping in, have resulted in me flaked out in the chair

Ferrous Sulfate gives me headaches
Hi, sorry if I've posted this in the wrong section as I dont have Thyroid problems. I've recently had a low iron deficiency confirmed and have been told to buy supplements and take them 3x a day. The chemist recommended Ferrous Sulfate 200mg. I have found that after taking just one I get an awful headache

Please could someone review this for me...
If you have iron-deficiency anaemia (i.e. deficient in ferritin), your doctor can prescribe
ferrous
fumarate (don't let them give you
ferrous
sulphate
as it's harder to digest). If you have heavy periods (very common with hypothyroidism) then you are very likely to have iron-deficiency anaemia.

Missing a week of baricitnib by accident it’s been a slow slog trying to get back on my feet . 2 weeks plus of pain and mobility problems with lots of heat/ice packs along with Epsom salts baths there has been no improvement. Last night was my worst ever for pain. right foot painful and very very hot

Symptoms, but within range.
Told her I’m taking 4000 iu of vitamin D and have been for 2 years and been taking 200/400mg
Ferrous
Sulphate
daily. She said it’s just low vitamin D and iron that are the problem. Asked for a thyroid test in 6months or a year and was told there is no point you don’t have a thyroid problem.
