I was interested to learn about Epsom salts, thank you. Any tips for hips?
Peripheral nerve damage in the legs & a degenerative spine are standard, and being taken care of as well as poss. But a really dodgy knee (recorded) and now these hips jumping in, have resulted in me flaked out in the chair for 3hrs after the last two shopping trips. I am used to the various bits & pieces which can flare - do hips do that?
I'm due to see my Rheumatologist shortly, and it's possible that my medication will be altered. But is there anything I can do routinely to help myself?
Best wishes to all 💌

Hi Hobbledehoy - funny you mention hips - my left hip this weekend was so inflamed I thought I might be stuck in bed. RA was ruthless - I have never had anything quite like this in the hip area - although I do have osteopenia there. I did YouTube and reading last night, hoping for some exercise for pain relief - I heard light practice was good, so I did 20 minutes on my indoor bike with a no pressure. This wasn't a good idea as things got worse. It radiated to the back area this morning - had a warm shower - and now seems a bit better. I blamed this on the fried chicken and chips, which I never ever eat - i foolishly devoured on Saturday 😬
Epsom salt and magnesium salt is brill I would recommend. I used Celadrin cream this morning, though. I did some very, very light stretching.
