Single Oophorectomy in February, no follow up
I had my right ovary and tube removed in February and the doctor came to see me as I was coming out of the anesthetic, said everything went well and lookedgood. That was the last I heard from the doctor, no follow up appointment, not even a phone call. I had the procedure because I had been suffering

Carboplatin and Taxol - very scared!
Hi, soon I am supposed to start my chemo but I am extremely scared. Some people say it's unbearable, some say it's not that bad. Just trying to figure out some pattern there! Not so bothered about losing my hair but extremely scared of neuropathy as it obviously might never go away. I am a musician and

Low TSH
I have a low TSH and low T4. (TSH hovers around 0.2) I’ve been on 75mcg Thyroxine for 20 years. My blood levels continue to go down but GPs have been instructed to only consider the TSH and not T4 therefore when I have my bloods done and go to my GP they are keen to reduce the dose. I tried this once

Coming home from hospital today!
I had my Gastric Bypass and hernia repair on Sunday. During surgery I did not go into AF.... I’m now back on all my drugs but have to crush them for 6 weeks!! Heart seems to have withstood the surgery upheaval so I’m pleased... cautiously pleased!

Struggling
Good afternoon I was diagnosed with stage 4 MBC gone to my bones in June of 2018 six months after losing my husband to Stage 4 Lung Cancer. I am taking Ibrance and Femara and had no issues until Nov when I started having numbness and nerve damage in my right foot which also resulted in foot drop.

Does anyone know about SSDI and is there additional benefits for children under 18?
Hi, I'm considering applying for SSDI. I know that our diagnosis of MBC makes it very easy. Does anyone know what the amounts are like and if there is additional benefits if you have children under 18? 3 of my 4 kids are under 18. I'm a physical therapist. My latest bone scan showed a healing rib fracture

Oophorectomy and what to expect
I was wondering if anyone would share their experience of oophorectomy and what to expect after? Did it impact your sex drive? My consultant would like to remove both ovaries and I would like to hear peoples experiences while I weigh up my options. Thank you x

Mirena help-post coital bleeding
Hey, I’ve had the Mirena coil in place for over 5 months. I’m bleeding a lot more and currently on day 19. Any break I get we manage some intimacy ( carefully as can be very painful) and afterwards I’m back to bleeding. I’ve had enough of having to wear tampons 24/7. I’m spending more time bleeding

Was anyone on this list “cancer free” until her initial diagnosis at stage IV? Also do you feel worse on the 7 days off?
I was diagnosed Jan 3rd 2019 with secondary neoplasm to the bone. (Ribs and some in hip), and they think the primary source is breast cancer bc there was estrogen in the biopsy of my hips. But I just had a breast MRI and the tumor is so small it seems it is not detectable. I am on Ibrance, Femara and
