Ibrance/Femara cause of severe leg pain?

Hi, I've been on Ibrance 100 & Femara 2.5 for 4 years, the problem I have is severe leg pain, had a lumpectomy 20 years ago, in 2015 it came back under my arm and collarbone. All pet scans good, no progression but I can barely walk, bone scan ok (8 mos. ago) my leg bone feels like my leg is gonna break as I am walking, I use a cane. I'm wondering if this can be from Ibrance or Femara? Any thoughts? Anyone else experience severe leg bone pain?

How long has this been going on and have you talked to your oncologist about it yet? It doesn’t sound like something to be ignored!

It sure does sound like neuropathy, if it does get worse there are meds that help w/ nerve pain. I have neuropathy in my arm where they removed lymph nodes. As for me, another bone scan soon. Thanks and good luck Red 71!

I’m sorry you are having such pain!! During the last six months I have experienced same - in my right knee, calf, foot, and strangely enough in my left hip. I have had it all checked out thoroughly and nothing definitive shows up to cause it. I now am pretty convinced it’s nerve pain, probably from a pinched nerve in my low back but I also suspect the meds (same) we are on contribute in a big way. My pain isn’t as bad lately, it waxes and wanes. I’m still in pursuit of answers and hope we can both find more relief!

Hello Livetwentyyears,

I believe that it's the Ibrance/Letrozole, I'm experiencing the same thing. Most days I can't walk and it's annoying. I've also been experiencing increased back pain as well. I certainly hope that we both get some relief. God bless you...

Severe pain is serious. It could be a blood clot, which can occur with Ibrance. So to your doctor ASAP please!
