Hi all. I am age 24 male. History with excessive alcohol for the past 5 years. I recently got a full blood work carried out at my GP and my liver enzymes came back as ok, but I don’t really understand what any of it means. I tried calling my GP and it’s like trying to milk blood out of a stone

Made to feel ashamed
I'm sorry if this is insignificant but I have just had a 'health review ' at my local doctors and made to feel ashamed and embarrassed and absolutely awful about myself.I have liver cirrhosis, I was ill November 2022 and had numerous scans and it was confirmed by a fibro scan. It scared the hell out

update on my Dr appointment yesterday, apparently she heard back from the hep dr who has agreed to do a fibroscan, this is what I want, I need to know what is going on, but I am also very scared as to what the findings will be, could it still be possible to have a low f0 f1 score even with severe

Hi there, I haven't posted anything for here for a while - but do read other's stories and experiences which is often very helpful - so thank you! I am now taking 12.5mg of carvedilol per day - taking one in the morning and one at night before going to bed - I often feel the morning dose leaves me

About 6 years ago I had some a full set of blood tests done and 3 years later I had more of which I was told that my LFTs were deranged and that they could t understand why the previous Doctor didn’t raise any concerns as my ALT levels were over 1200 and my AST in high hundreds. Advice needed and a bit of a moan...
Due to other problems my Practise Nurse sent me for a scan last year during which it showed that I have a
fatty
liver
. I have asked for tests (as suggested by BLF Nurse)but these were turned down by the GP who said if anything gets worse it will show in the annual blood tests.

Elevated Fibroscan Results
My liver enzymes were elevated so I was sent for an ultrasound which showed
fatty
liver
. I then went for a Fibroscan which had horrendous results - 67.9 KPA. I had a phone call with the liver clinic who told me I had NAFLD and cirrhosis. Based purely on the scan.

Gallbladder polyp?
Just had sonogram
fatty
liver
resolved and normal size. Just a possible gallbladder polyp or stone my Gastro Dr said. Slightly smaller than 5MM. Said it wasn’t a big concern just to have sonograms to follow. My only concern is it said may represent a polyp. And impression was possible polyp.
