infiltration of the
liver
the probe could not penetrate through to give a reading, so now have to be referred to Blackpool as they have an XL probe which is better.

Cirrhosis but no change in bloodwork
Diagnosed with
fatty
liver
10 years ago. Recently had a CT done for kidney stones and it showed Nodular liver. I was shocked. The weird part is my blood tests over the last 10 years always came back normal or just slightly elevated AST/ALT so doctors never thought there was a problem.

Why so grim....
My question is to the British liver trust. Do you know why the hospital consultants say to you maybe have 3 years to live after a stomach acities drain and decompressed cirrosis. yet many people here are saying they are living a good life. İt's cruel to give that information and then share it with your

misdiagnosed cirrhosis?
I was diagnosed with cirrhosis approximately a year ago. Had all the classic symptoms with ascites being the worst. Every time the gastroenterologist sent me for an MRI, the ascites has interfered with the test. He reluctantly gave me a diagnosis of cirrhosis when pushed but didn’t seem confident. Been

I am now able to tolerate antibiotics again after my nerves healed
Hello! I just want to give this update about my situation. I hope people on here find this because my situation was a nightmare and I think this can help people who are confused and not sure what to do or if they'll ever be able to tolerate antibiotics again (TL;DR: you will be able to if you can heal

Liver enzymes
Hi, I had mildly elevated ALT in January so stopped drinking alcohol. It lowered but then went up to 100 with raised AST also. Gradually both went down to normal and Nils blood test and ultrasound were normal. However, ALT has gone back up to 72 and ALT 64. My GP is stumped. Has anyone experienced

Made to feel ashamed
I'm sorry if this is insignificant but I have just had a 'health review ' at my local doctors and made to feel ashamed and embarrassed and absolutely awful about myself.I have liver cirrhosis, I was ill November 2022 and had numerous scans and it was confirmed by a fibro scan. It scared the hell out
