Some good news
I was told on the fifth of December that my ultrasound scan had picked up three small suspicious lesions, and that what they saw was suggestive of cirrhosis, portal vein hypertension and varices. I immediately quit alcohol, eating cannabis and otc sleeping remedies. I radically changed my diet and began

What vitamin gummies are we using?
I keep reading about zinc, omega 3 and magnesium. Does anyone have recommendations on gummy vitamins they use for ADHD that are helping? My daughter is 7. Thanks!

cirrhosis analogy
Happy New Year to all! I saw my primary care doc yesterday for my annual exam, after seeing my Hepatologist in August. Both said all of my bloodwork is normal, albeit slightly low platelets. 130’s-140’s. I asked my primary care about 1) possible worsening, 2) measurement of fibrosis (fibroscan)

Fibroscan?
Question, I was diagnosed with a
fatty
liver
and I have two cysts in my liver that showed up with an ultrasound. My Dr. would like me to get an MRI but I am deathly claustrophobic and they cannot scan the liver other than in an enclosed MRI.

How quickly can cirrhosis worsen.
Hi allI was diagnosed 2 years ago with compensated cirrhosis, portal hypertension, no ascites and 3 small varices that didn't need treatment. Everything was jogging along without change, no worse, no better. But, here it comes, I've had a bad time just lately, my husbands dementia is worsening and I'm

Liver Biopsy report, can anyone interpret?
Hello all, got my cirrhosis dx in march from a biopsy, however I have the full report, is there anything else of note from it other than I have cirrhosis from fat in the liver? The biopsy followed a high fibroscan read of 30.7kPa. Thank you Specimen: Liver, very high fibroscan reading ?cirrhosis

He and liver disease
I am so scared about damage to my liver , I’m worried I have Hepatic encephalopathy. I stupidly took to many over the counter tablets over a course of a month ( paracetamol) , I ended up in ANE but blood work come back ok and wasn’t ever treated however I’m worried I left it to long to go to the hospital

My friend was diagnosed two years ago and has been relatively healthy since. Losing a lot of weight, eating healthy and rarely drinking. He has been feeling sick lately and feeling bloated. Extreme liver enzyme elevation
Nothing out of the ordinary with the exception of mild
fatty
liver
and polyps in gall bladder. I had a fibroscan scan during that time when my liver enzymes were elevated and it said mild to moderate fibrosis, but the recent mri did not show that.

Anniversary of varices bleed
Up until 23rd December 2022 I thought I was quite well and healthy and rarely needed to visit our GP. Out of the blue on the 23rd December 2022, I started to vomit up approx. 3 - 4 pints of blood, as you can imagine my wife and I were in shock from the whole episode. Following an emergency admission

Fibrosis stage 3/4 verging on Cirrhosis... The trial drugs I was on ( whether placebo or the actual drug) were

Portal Gastropathy
I had an abdominal ultrasound in December and all it said was mild
fatty
infiltration of the
liver
. However, I've been having a chronic sore throat for over a month and was worried I had throat or esophageal cancer.
