Recently had an ultrasound that showed
fatty
liver
but my gallbladder is thickened and distended with no sign of gallstones for further testing needed to find the cause. Waiting for a ct scan and have been referred to gastro. Does anyone have experience with this?

Can some one help me understand this test?
so I went in to check for
fatty
liver
due to weight issues I'm guessing. the doctor was very vague, mentioned Nash, and said I have severe fibrosis and that I can try to get into some trial treatment but no guarantees. didn't really say much after that other than see you in three months. which left me

Age...
I'm 39 and just diagnosed with a
fatty
liver
. I feel like most people with this disorder are older. How common is this condition in younger individuals?

Fibroscan CAP scores
I suspect that someone who has a CAP score of 247 could easily be rescanned and have a score of 261 which could mean that nearly 50% of the
liver
is
fatty
. Are there many people here who have a CAP score over 280?

Fatty liver
Hi I was diagnosed a year ago with
fatty
liver
. Which surprised me as my diet is good. Walk lots not overweight. Weight is ok. Don't drink hardly only on odd occassion. Then if do it's just few glasses wine. Not lots. Saw hepatologist who diagnosed this after liver scan & biopsy.

Amino acid urine test finds taurine “wasting”, elevated beta alanine and anserine - anyone else?
hi. Help much needed and appreciated. I have had elevated ALT, AST, and GGT for decades along with poor health and some little recognized chronic conditions. I would like to know if anyone else with liver disease has or has heard of the following metabolic derangement. I am wondering if they could result

Liver cancer
finally got to talk to a very knowledgeable liver specialist having been trying to get some answers for months. He understood why I wanted to know and given some idea how long I can expect too live. He went into a lot of detail fully explaining all the scenarios, which is exactly what my wife and I wanted

Yet another question about cirrhosis.
I'm so sorry to bother everyone again. I promise this will be my last post for quite some time [hopefully]. I'm taking some advice from a couple of lovely members from this forum who have advised me to try and not worry so much over every detail of my condition, and live each day to its fullest. Just

Questions about Cirrhosis Prognosis
Hi Everyone. I have yet another question[s] [I'm sorry!] I just read a post from 6 years ago that gave me a bit of a fright, and I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts or advice on this? The post stated that cirrhosis patients can do "remarkably well provided they can keep clean, & early stage cirrhosis

Just a few more questions about Cirrhosis
Hello, it's me [again]. Only one more day until I go for my endoscopy as they picked up varices on my cat scan. May [or most definitely will, according to my gastroenterologist] have to band them. This whole procedure has got me thinking again, and I inevitably then end up with more questions [sorry]

Exercise
Hi all, I'm due for repeat liver enzyme tests next week for slightly elevated GGT and ALT, I've stopped drinking since Feb ( apart from a beer last weekend) and I've started weight training at the gym. I'm starting to lose weight but I've read weight training can cause elevated liver enzymes and to not

Do you have cirrhosis (or care for someone who does) and want to help prioritise what research is done in the UK?
The British Liver Trust is working with UK CLIF Network and supported by the James Lind Alliance on a project called the Liver Cirrhosis James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership (JLA PSP). The group includes patients, carers, and health professionals with expertise in liver cirrhosis.
