Is Generic Ampyra working for you?
I've been taking Ampyra for years. About 6+ months ago I noticed my walking was significantly worse. That's about the same time I started receiving the generic form of Ampyra. I don't believe it's working! Has anyone else taking the generic form found that your walking/gait has become worse?

Ampyra, working or too early!
Hi everyone - hope you're all doing good. i have a question. I have been on the brand pill Ampyra for about two weeks now. Should I see an improvement by now, or is it too early yet. Before this, I was on the generic for a month and it didn't work; that's why I switched to the brand name. How long

Neuro appointment today
Saw my neuro today. He said I’m doing fantastic and called me boring 😂 I really am blessed to be doing so well. Ampyra has been my miracle drug and Rebif continues to work well. I am going to try a sleeping pill. Bad sleep and increased fatigue were my only complaints today. On a side note...my tomatoes

Better Nuroligist Different Diagnose keeping my fingers crossed...
Hi Everyone My new Nuroligist really helped me. He ran more test and let me know that I have Progressive MS which he said it's rare. I'm getting weaker and sicker but Thanking God I'm still here. He changed all my medicine including my MS medicine. I'm now taking Ocrevus infusion treatments and only

I, too, am new but older than dirt!!
I, too, am a new MSAA member living where I know no one coping with or acknowledging their problems of fatigue, weakness and incoordination. Brief history: my 80th year will be in October this year. Vision problems occurred suddenly when I was 27, 53 years ago in TX. My doc just didn't know why my

Spring Break Miracle
If anyone had told me I would still be hiking with my family 19 years after diagnosis, I wouldn’t have believed them. A year ago I could barely move after sitting for more than twenty minutes. Ampyra really has been a miracle worker for me. My family just spent four days hiking in southern Utah. Temperatures

Neuro appointment
I saw my neuro on the 11th of February. Had to double our driving time due to a snow storm. He’s pretty happy with where things are. We only adjusted the time of day I take my second dose of ampyra. Interestingly, I asked him his go to med if I just can’t stand taking Rebif anymore. (I don’t have side

Possible AMN
Hello, Maybe I am posting in the right place. First my doctor thought I had chronic fatigue, then MS, but after my latest visit she said she’d run a vlcfa test. She isn’t a very good doctor to be honest. Forcing me out of the door. After I returned home, I Googled vlcfa. Mostly

Damn insurance companies
I was on ampyra with a $10 copay then they switch me to the generic was free for a couple months and now they want to charge me a $200 copay for the generic and a $700 copay for the brand name. What the heck! I can't afford either one. What am I supposed to do? Anybody have any ideas? I am fuming.

Ampyra question
I am seeing my neuro on Wednesday and want to ask about Ampyra. Whether due to MS, my mercury poisoning or something else, my walking has been getting steadily worse. Does Ampyra have side effects anyone has experienced? Is it addictive? I am on Ocrevus now, but it has had no effect on my walking

Talking about MS with my son
Today I was having a conversation with my 21 year old son. We first started talking about being strong I don’t mean physical I mean mentally strong. I was talking about his grandmother who he never met, who passed away 26 years ago, she passed away from lymphoma (cancer) they only gave her 6 months

Dr appointment and ampyra
Saw my neuro today. He was completely amazed at how much better I’m doing! I know every drug works differently for people but ampyra has been my miracle! I am walking almost normally. Since I’m not working so hard to walk I’m conserving energy so my fatigue is doing better. And that means my speech

Ampyra and toe cramps
Anyone tried ampyra? It’s working fantastically for me and I’m walking much better. However, I’ve had a significant increase in cramping in my toes since starting. Wondering if they are related.

My neuro says don't need DMT since no changes in MRI in 2 years
I'm 73 and not taking a disease modifying therapy (DMT) for 2 years. 1st symptoms in my 30's, but not diagnosed till 64. Had the usual dumb diagnoses from multiple docs, fibromyalgia, stress, obesity, list goes on and on. I was on Copaxone for 7 years and did great with it, until I didn't. Balance
