I was on ampyra with a $10 copay then they switch me to the generic was free for a couple months and now they want to charge me a $200 copay for the generic and a $700 copay for the brand name. What the heck! I can't afford either one. What am I supposed to do? Anybody have any ideas? I am fuming.

I have the same issue but my copay is much less AMPYRA it was a $50.00 copay but now with the generic it’s a $10.00 copay I have a private insurance company.

Call the AMPYRA company directly and see if they can help you. I don’t have the number all I have is the number off my bottle

1 (877988-0058 it’s Accredo Health Group

There in Florida.

I am not sure if this will do any thing for you but it can’t hurt.

Good luck ssdw1958.

Let me know if this works out for you

You could try a compounder. I get a 90 day supply for $150.

Good morning Mayestes, it's Fancy. Somehow someway my insurance is actually gone down since the first of the year and so have my co-pays. Are the medicines you are talking about MS meds? Most pharmaceutical companies that deal with multiple sclerosis medicines have co-pay assistance programs for the medicines that are more expensive. Get your neurologist to contact the pharmaceutical company that manufactures your medicine that they're trying to charge you $700 for. Find out if you qualify for their co-pay assistance program. I do on my main MS DMT and it's saved me literally tens of thousands of dollars every 6 months. Keep digging until you find assistance because it is out there. If this doesn't work, message me back and I will dig deeper and give you other resources to try. But working with a pharmaceutical company is always the best place to start. Until we speak again take care and try not to stress overmuch about this because there are solutions out there. Remember together we are stronger! And I'm only a post way if you need more suggestions or advice. Fancy.
