Herpes recurrence
I was diagnosed with HSV type2 about 6 weeks ago, I was given Aciclovir for 5 days which really helped, I was clear for about a week after. Ever since then I have had some kind of lesion pretty much continuously. They are not painful just really irritating and a constant reminder. I wanted to avoid

Anyone else had positive experience with Aciclovir?
I recently had a relatively mild attack of shingles and was given Aciclovir, an antiviral medicine used in the treatment of cold-sores and other herpes infections. What also seems to have happened is that it has vastly improved my IBS-d symptoms, in that I’ve had no episodes of diarrhoea or bloating

Acyclovir
My husband has been on Acyclovir 400 mg 2 times a day for the past year as preventive. He has been on it while on chop as well as new clinical trial. He has had a rash on his upper torso and on his face for the past 2 months. Has anyone else been on acyclovir and if so for how long? Any skin reactions

Side Effects of Long Term use of acyclovir when on Ibrutinib+venetoclax
I am new to this site and hello to all of my CLL comrades. I am on a clinical trial of ibrutinib (for two months) and then adding venetoclax until I achieve MRD negative. I started ibrutinib 3 weeks ago and so far doing fine, except some minor side effects. Now, my CLL specialist wants me to start acyclovir

Almost two years come May .... it's been a long struggle not easy to look in the mirror and see little improvement.... but I keep the faith
Sounds crazy but only until I went to my eye doctor did I get help in the right direction ... he gave me a prescription and it works .... I want to share it with all of you it's called Acyclovir it's very inexpensive and it does work .... I wish you all well

Becoming an introvert after VM?
Hi all and so grateful I found this forum. I have gotten so much out of reading many of your posts and caring responses. I got diagnosed with VM January 4th, 2018. Went to hosptal with horrible headache that woke me from my sleep. Felt so ill and exhausted. Neck hurt too and felt flu like. After a CT

71yr male diagnosed 2yrs ago, CLL (Binet stage B) researched specialists and decided on Dr Bloor at Christie Hospital in Manchester, an excellent choice. W&W for 18 months until he found a mass of raised lymph nodes in my abdomen. Dr Bloor suggested the Flair trial and I was randomised for FCR beginning

Scared to take urso ama m2 90
Hi, My new doctor ran extensive tests for my sudden muscle leg spasms that got real stiff last 2 months n severe weakness. I had a negative biopsy 6 years ago. I was told my second ama m2 test was high positive at 90. He prescribed urso. I get dizzy easily and am scared of side effects. I would not

Viral Meningitis twice how is this possible?
In 2003 I was struck down with Viral Meningitis and in hospital for 10 days. They told me it was the Herpes Simplex virus that had caused the Meningitis but I had no cold sores or anything at that time. It took around a year to feel better with the main problem being tiredness and this wobbling feeling

Persistent congestive cough on ibrutanib
Has anyone experienced a long term congestive cough whilst on the Flair trial? My husband has had this for months now, disrupting sleep and adding to the fatigue he already experiences with the treatment. Our GP has suggested using a drug for reflux but on checking it out there are contra indications

Ibrutinab overdose?
My husband is on the Flair trial, having started it in June 2016. He's had CLL for more than ten years, on watch and wait, but in March 2016 his red blood count dived, necessitating fort nightly blood transfusions. One month into the trial he unfortunately developed fungal pneumonia and was hospitalised
