Question about iron levels?
Hi I am new here, not new to having Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis (hypothyroidism) for around 15 years. Recently, I was sent to a hematologist because my iron levels were so low. Practically non existent. I was put on iv iron right away. The specialist and I were trying to figure out why I was so anemic..

Chest x-ray showed Left sided lower lung consolidation.
After a review with practice nurse, after noticing my bronchiectasis hasn't been right for a year now, numerous chest infection. Anyway change and increase of meds and I was sent for chest x-ray which showed consolidation. So antibiotics taken, sputum sample taken but shows no infection. Is this just

Hello, after suffering from shortness of breath for almost a year now and being diagnosed with low iron (put on iron tablets), I still don't feel right. Ferritin blood results different between medichecks and NHS
Hi I wanted to make a separate post on this to find out whether anyone else has experienced this phenomena, and whether they know what might be going on. I have had 2 blood tests from NHS and 2 from Medichecks in fairly quick succession without any ferritin supplementation and the 2 NHS ones are low,

Shortness if breath
I have been dealing with shortness of breath for a few months now. So far i have had a chest x-ray, blood work and spirometry test. The x-rays and blood work came back good, just waiting on the last test. Anyone have these same tests and have normal results or get any other answers from your doctor?

Help with blood results
So, the endo is happy with my T3 and T4. Mid to upper range. However I still suffer from bloating, hair loss and fairly rapid pulse (90 bpm) . I take 50mcg levo and 1 grain Thai NDT. I had my iron checked in June 19. GP told me that my levels were ‘normal’. I’ve recently had the Mirena coil removed

always worrying about my heart rate
ugh.. I was having a great day, sat down whilst my food was cooking, glanced over at my Fitbit and saw 58bpm and got spooked. it's usually never below 60bpm when I'm sat down. started to feel dizzy and panicky and scared myself into thinking my heart was gonna stop or something!! this is so frustrating

Reference for not testing once b12 injections started? Threatening to stop injections due to high b12 levels in blood test.
Hiya I have a call booked with the practice nurse who wants to stop my b12 injections as a recent blood test shows levels that are 'too high'. Can anyone point me to NICE guidelines or smilar that state that once b12 injections have commenced, b12 levels should not be checked? I am diagnosed with pernicious

Iron may not be what we think it is.
The latest thinking from RLS research is that when we talk about iron ,we should be looking at Haemoglobin (hgb) rather than ferritin. This is from the latest magazine of the Restless legs Foundation ( Nightwalkers summer 2020). James R Connor PhD. The thinking is that hgb levels are a better indication

I developed a wheeze/whistle at night at beginning of lockdown and was diagnosed by telephone with asthma (at age 56) and given inhalers. (Have not yet had lung function test due to Covid) so still not really confirmed. I then developed chest pains which feel like they are where you’d typically recognise

Bloods and medication ordered by Oral Medicine Consultant ...refused by GP.
Has anyone experienced this at all? Refusal to prescribe and do bloods? I have been waiting to see an oral medicine consultant since January. Obviously, due to the dreaded, it was, like many appointments, cancelled and put on hold. Thankfully, I have not had to wait too long since easing of lockdown

Can the breathing with anxiety last 6months all day everyday without going 24/7
Basically went to the hospital about 2months ago had a chest X-ray that’s come back all clear and they’ve listened to my chest and that’s all clear but have shallow breathing constantly for 6months just wondering if it can last this long all day everyday I’m worried it was a blood clot or lung cancer
