B-12 is Low (398), Folate is High, HCY is 55.6, uMMA is 1.7 , vitamin D and C and Magnesium are Low, all B vitamins are low.
Why is the GP not taking my labs seriously, I've been taking methylcobalamin tablets for a year and just began 5-MTHF because of Folate Deficiency found in my DNA, GP declined to do a MMA Blood serum test, I have been allergic to milk and beef since birth, peanuts followed with life threatening allergies

Iron/Ferritin
Dear All,I have now had my latest blood tests back and my ferritin levels, with the help of iron tablets, has risen from 45 to 120. However, unlike others in our group, my RLS are still pretty awful. Do I have to be patient and hope the RLS now improve???? Otherwise it will be pretty depressing. Sue

Dad’s iron studies
Hello all My dad has just collected his latest iron studies prior to call from GP at some point today. Would you mind taking a look and interpreting please. Have tried to use the Polish calculator to work out percentages but there’s an error and I can’t use it. 23/11/22 CRP <4 (0 - 9) Ferritin

Newbie here, tests/symptoms suggest PA or AAG
Hi everyone. My medical adventures have been ongoing for years but, like many others, I have struggled to find a definitive diagnosis for my symptoms. My spouse is the only person I've shared all this with. He's been by my side and supportive throughout numerous doctors shrugging their shoulders — and

pramipexole (containing Dopamine), can it contribute to heart regurgitation?
I recently had an echocardiogram after chest x-ray for breathlessness and it was thought to show an enlarged heart , but later found it wasn’t, hence the ecg. It has shown that I have some regurgitation which GP said nothing to worry about but I have read that Dopamine can be a cause of this. Can anyone

Etoricoxib?
Finally got to see rheumatologist on 8 Dec for the urgent appointment requested by my GP in June (!) He took a detailed history and did a thorough examination (I didn’t realize how much everything was hurting until he prodded all the muscles round my joints - been quite sore since.) His conclusion

Confusion
One of the things most interesting about using this site is the variety of different experiences people have with the same problem, in my case bronchiectasis. I have been diagnosed for 12 years and see my consultant regularly. She is a bit unforthcoming and big on science. In that time I have had one

Ferritin that will not raise - what to investigate?
Hi everyone, I've had huge issues with ferritin since diagnosis in 2019 and I cannot get it to raise higher than the early 20s and the doctors are absolutely no help with trying to find the cause. My ferritin is currently 23 range 30-250 and I have been taking iron medicine and eating liver consistently

Intrinsic Factor Test
Hi Community :) For the last 3 years, I've had increasing numbness and burning pins and needles, headaches, fatigue, brain fog, and have been shedding weight. My GP has had me tested for MS (MRI scan says "no") and Neurology have diagnosed "funtional neurological disorder - FND". I then researched

Could ET mask a diagnosis of Vitamin B12 deficiency/Pernicious anaemia?
I have an ET JAK2 mutation diagnosis (on aspirin) and have some neurological type symptoms that are similar to those associated with a Vit B12 deficiency. Athough I'm now taking a B12 supplement, I was wanting to see if I could get a B12 injection in case my issue related to an inability to absorb B12

How to prepare for the Radiation Therapy? Your advise/help are appreciated.
My husband will receive 20 session of radiation therapy which started on 11/3/22. He is drinking 64 oz water every day therefore he is very hydrated. He is doing everything by the “book”, but Today they weren’t able to administer the radiation because he was gassy (took 2 gas x tablet 1 hour before

Possible Blood Clots
Hi all, it’s me again! So in the early hours of Monday morning I was woken by an intense pain in my chest and it took me about an hour to settle the pain and go back to sleep (after realising that it would go away if I didn’t move). When I woke up on Monday morning the pain was still there but only

Testing coming up
I read this helpful info on a forum post here from the admin: “Taking supplements that contain B12 will affect any tests ordered by your doctor to assess your B12 status. You should not take any supplement with B12 before having your B12 assessed (including MMA/homocysteine/Active B12). For testing

IMPORTANT: Nicotinamide riboside (or NAD+ or Tru Niagen) may be involved in neoplastic and metastatic processes
Some of us were taking nicotinamide riboside for RLS. A few days ago a paper was published with data suggesting it could be involved neoplastic and metastatic processes. Hence, please take this in consideration if you were taking nicotinamide riboside. Here is the reference: A bioluminescent-based

Seemingly a sudden drop in ferritin but is it really?
15/08/22 Ferritin 236ug/L (13 - 150) Quite a bit over range, so I’m puzzled that a mere 12 weeks later - 16/11/22 - according to the new reference range it has suffered a significant drop to 39% through Yes, I immediately stopped iron supplementation but I continued with acerola to aid with food

IFAB testing guidelines per Mayo clinic laboratory website
I found this IFAB test guideline. I found a few things pretty interesting. This particular lab which is the lab that did my IFAB test says that you should be fasting for 8 hours before you take this test and you should not have had any B12 injections within 2 weeks prior to the test. Another interesting
