Help with latest results - diagnosis keeps changing
Hi had my thyroid bloods done last week with following results Tsh 0.02 (0.49-5.32) Ft4 10.6 (11.5-22.7) Ft3 4.4 (3.5-6.5) these are 5 weeks after stopping 25mcg levothyroxine after I ended up in “hyperthyroid state”. Results from 4/6: Tsh 0.01 (0.49-5.32) Ft4 20.8 (11.5-22.7) Ft3 7.6 (3.5-6.5

Could anyone tell me the benefit of having both TT4 and Free T4 tested please…just looking at differences in tests and prices please?
Hi, I won’t repeat the question, just wondering if anyone could give me an idea on this please. Obviously a bit of difference between the pricing of the two tests I’m looking at and not sure how helpful that info could be? Im not on anything for thyroid, but tsh has been up and down in past so I keep

Thyroid issues
Hi. My TSH levels have been 0.02 for over a year, yet T3 and T4 have been in the normal range.I have chronic fatigue, reason I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism 20 years ago, and they have reduced my Levothyroxine to 75mg now. I am so concerned that this is going to cause my fatigue to get worse.

Should I ask to go up on my levothyroxine dosage?
Hi everyone! As suggested, I followed everyone's advice regarding the blood test, and also I've been taking the levothyroxine earlier (leaving more of a gap before eating or taking other medications) for a month, and my latest results are: Serum free T4 level 12.0 pmol/L [7.9 - 14.4] Normal 05 Apr

Help to updose T3
Hi Lovely people, I haven't been on for a while after one issue after another. I am on Liothyronine 20mcg 3 times a day. I have found my T3 dropping although still in range as my endo says so not concerned. I only started putting weight on just before being diagnosed with hypothyroidism. That was

Copy of an excellent old thyroid book... by Broda Barnes
https://jeffreydachmd.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Broda_Barnes_Solved_Riddle_Heart_Attacks.pdf I've started to digest this copy of Broda Barnes book....it helps explain many of the things I've suspected about thyroid hormones...and validates my near obsession with T3! Thanks to kiefer who posted

Hyperthyroidism blood results.
Morning all, I posted here several weeks ago as I had been taken off Levothyroxine after high t4 results. I have half a thyroid as had a benign growth. I paid for a blood test and after a couple of issues with the finger prick tests, I got a nurse friend to take my bloods. I got the results this morning

I get treatment

A night in the life of RLS
Hi All Just wanted to post an update following all of the helpful comments: Contacted pain clinic about referral to neurology- that has been actioned but will take time. GP has issued blood tests to check ferritin - last reading was 117 in March. I have increased Pregabalin to 100mg with iron supplement

Thyroid blood test and splitting T3
I have a thyroid blood test on Thursday AM and am taking T3. I know I split the dose the day before but am currently on 15mcg (so 3/4 of a tablet). Am I ok to take half (10mcg) and then a quarter (5mcg) 8-12 hours before? Splitting in half will be tricky. Many thanks in advance!

Symptoms of a Hashimoto flare
Dear community I am wondering if you could share your insights. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto after a Covid infection in 2022. My thyroid levels seem "normal" under substitution (recent lab): TSH: 171; fT3: 3.9; fT4: 13.8. However, I have flares that seem very clearly to be autoimmune in nature

Small thyroid gland question......
What does it mean if your Free Thyroxine is low (10.8 pmol/L - 12 - 22 R ) and your Thyroid is small ? My Dr is telling me he is unable to except my recent private blood tests which is annoying as I sent bloods of to MediChecks only this morning to check my Thyroid Antibodies which are normally
