As suggested, I followed everyone's advice regarding the blood test, and also I've been taking the levothyroxine earlier (leaving more of a gap before eating or taking other medications) for a month, and my latest results are:
To recap, after contracting COVID in 2020, I began to have symptoms including 20-30lbs weight gain (unexplained), thinning brows, thinning hair, no libido, and extreme fatigue. I seem to have subclinical hypothyroidism without Hashimoto's, but I've had this since 2016. I tried 25mcg levothyroxine in April 2020, got COVID again, then started taking 50mcg in August 2022. All of my blood test results relating to my thyroid are on my profile bio. My ferritin, vitamin D, folic acid, and B12 are now optimal.
I have been experiencing a lot more anxiety lately, but my other symptoms are all still there. Should I now ask my GP to increase my dosage? I've gone up to 67.6kg now, so should I be on around 100mcg of levothyroxine? Thank you

Increased anxiety has been the worst symptom of having a thyroid condition for me and it is always worse if thyroid medication or key vitamins (ferritin, folate, vitamins B12 and D) are not optimal. TSH should always be under 2, with most members reporting they feel best when this falls under 1.
I would certainly push for an increase to 100mcg Levo and retest after 6-8 weeks (I prefer to wait the full 8 weeks, as it can take this amount of time to feel the fu benefit of the increase).
Thank you so much!! I will ask my GP and hopefully she'll say yes. I'm only worried about it going too far the other way and getting worsening anxiety (I have POTS as well so already have things like palpitations), but I didn't know hypothyroidism can cause anxiety, too! I'm sorry that you have dealt with anxiety, too - it can be a horrible thing to have <3
At my first appointment with my syncope/falls/PoTS consultant back in January she immediately laid into me about being overmedicated for my hypothyroidism ( unlike you , but on T3/4 combo, my TSH is 0.002-4 range but then my FT3/4 are in 40s% range). And she felt obliged to write to my private endocrinologist to tell him I was having BP/HR problems (mine are dysautonomia due to Long Covid and get postural hypotension as well as PoTS). But be aware how much drs.get upset by hypothyroid dosage affecting ‘heart and bones’!
Ignore any medical person who says "hearts and bones" as this has been proved to be only if your T3 is very high. Heart problems can happen if your T3 is low. It is a shame the GPs and even Endos do not keep up with the research.
