I've started to digest this copy of Broda Barnes book....it helps explain many of the things I've suspected about thyroid hormones...and validates my near obsession with T3!
Thanks to kiefer who posted the link several years ago!
Happy reading!

I have read this book and thought it was brilliant. He is respectful of dosage, which you never see in anything else ‘doctor written’. I seem to be very sensitive to dose increases but he never quite got to dealing with that unfortunately in this book. Long term low dosage was as far as he got (unless I have missed something).
However he is very critical of the normal approach of modern medicine - as high a dose as possible is going to be better for any patient! Fire everything at the patient. No subtleties. No tweaking. Even my GP worries about the scale of specialists bombarding with heavy duty drugs - and that is saying something.
I wish he had got a bit further with his work on dosage. It’s an area treated with utter disrespect in ‘modern’ endocrinology. Such was his respect for the patient, it would have been further good work.
