PMR and Covid vaccine
Hello. I was diagnosed with PMR in March 2023 but had pain from October 2022 which GP put down to deferred pain from hip problem which I had seen a physio who gave me excercises which with hindsight cured the hip pain. I had Covid vaccine in early October and I didn’t make the connection at the time

Methane SIBO
Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone could recommend a sibo specialist based on their experience. I have been diagnosed with methane sibo by a private gastroenterologist and treated with several rounds of antibiotics. These would clear out symptoms well but they would return in few month. Does anyone take these 2 drugs for blood pressure and Afib? I was on one 50mg Flecainide at night but due to increased episodes my dose has been increased by my Consultant to 50g morning and night with a 100mg pip. He also prescribed me 120mg Adizem slow release which I have been taking in the morning

Rise in CA125
I’ve recently have had Pneumonia and Pleurisy. My CA125 was checked yesterday and my CNS has just called me to say that it has risen to 64. She also said that it can rise due to the pneumonia and they will discuss it at next weeks MDT meeting. There is a possibility they may repeat my bloods in 4 weeks

Weaker left ventricle function (LVEF)
Hello all. I had a routine ECG for something else and they picked up I have a weaker left ventricle function(LV EF). This is 45-50% and apparently 'normal' is 50-75%. I am a very fit 50 year old woman, I have no symptoms - feel fit as a fiddle!. I have no background history of that might be causing this

Review of neck fan
I was going to wait a few more days and keep using this, but I wanted to get my review out there for Xvettech and the others who are curious. The ultimate test for me won’t occur until Wednesday, so I’ve only been using this around the house. I have very mixed feelings about it. I do think that if

Flu vaccine post covid
Hope everyone is well. I got covid early last month(September), how long should one wait before getting the flu vaccine. I have read/ been told, once you’re feeling better your can have your flu jab. It’s been a month for me since having covid, and feel it should be fine to get the flu jab now.

Vasculitis of the eye
I have vasculitis of the eye and have steroid implants in the eye. Now the ozurdex implant is wearing away and the oedema is back in the eye. The immunosuppressant ( metothexrate) which is I was using for 16 weeks has not managed to stop the oedema. Till ozurdex was present, oedema was at bay. Now that

Hi everyone, I'm a long time ThyroidUK participant. Right now the thyroid replacement is good, vitamins, minerals, are all great. I'm very particular to ensure this. I use HRT (Triestrogen/progesterone) topical cream and have used since age 45 and I'm now 65. Here's the problem: in March
