Hole in arm, won't heal, just gets bigger.
Anyone know what this could be!? It started as a lump, dermatologist said it was hard skin, gave me dermovate to apply daily, now I have a hole with a red area around it. My wrist really aches.

Crying - why?
I would like to say Happy New Year to everyone and am pleased to report that for the first time in 2 years I did not have to go to hospital :-) My Rheumy had booked me an early apt before the Festive season so that they could keep monitoring my progress. Transport was booked and according to hospital

Lichen planus overlap SLE
Have recently seen my GP & dentist about a particularly nasty infected bit of gum that developed from one of my life long characteristic recurring areas of inflammation & ulceration. I've been with this very good dentist for 4 years since my treatment for systemic lupus & sicca syndrome began. I added

February's Blog (Part 2) - Wendy's Journey to Diagnosis
Hi everyone. For the second of this month's blogs Wendy has written about her experiences in getting diagnosed with lupus. Thank you so much Wendy for taking the time to share your story.
I was diagnosed with Discoid lupus in November 2013, but when I look back I think I can safely say that

Info please: wondering about my "tissue bleeds"
I guess there are other names for these haemorrhages deep under the skin. Mine aren't like what's called "blood blisters" cause mine are deeper in my soft tissues. I get these mainly in my hands & feet. Maybe 1 every 3 weeks or so, but lately more like 1 per week. They come on without any "friction

Vasculitis related?
I have very itchy palms and they are driving me mad! Under the skin are spots which are hard to see - but make my hands feel rough to the touch. I can feel my hands throb sometimes and the palms have reddened. I have been using Dermovate ointment and antihistamine tablets. I don't know what else to

Trouble with blister eczema
I treated it with
eumovate
which dried up the blisters but also dried out the top layer of skin, exposing a fairly raw lower layer. I have found the most effective treatment for this is germolene. I used it as I was concerned about the raw skin becoming infected and
eumovate
seemed too strong.

OMG - Day one of cold turkey here we come!
My main reason for consulting the web today has been that over the last week my face has been burning especially above my top lip, my cheeks, hairline and jaw and this has been despite using the
eumovate

Itchy palms of hands and soles of feet
He prescribed an antihistamine - Fexofenadine and also gave me some
Eumovate
Cream. Yes, the meds have stopped the itching but |I'm wondering how long I will have to keep on taking - I think I take enough tablets already without adding more.

My skin is now raw, blistered and swollen. Lost a tooth this morning. Docs offered me dermovate (which I react badly 2, great how these docs listen 2 us aint it Sher). I would have got off this bus years ago if I wasn't the type that refuses 2 give up. I want to learn to B a real cantankerous old bat

What is it that causes a reaction when an insect bites you?
