New member with blood test results - your thoughts please
Hello, my name is Vanda and I am a 53 year post menopausal female. I have been struggling with a whole lot of symptoms that may point to hypothyroid disorder, so I had bloods done by my GP and also paid for New Horizon bloods as after reading on here, I knew my GP bloods would be next to useless. I

After 5 sessions, some suggestions
As we all know, everyone is affected different, but wast to share. I had surgery for uterine CA, stage 4, grade 3, and have completed 5 sessions carbo taxol. It has not been pleasant, but finding understanding and coping mechanisms has helped. It has been a combination of strategies and always evolving

Perimenopausal?
I think my body and emotions are trying to tell me that I'm Perimenopausal. In the last six months my periods are lasting for five days (heavy) then stop for five days, then re-start for about five days (again heavy) then about 14 days of nothing. I have noticed increased irritability, anxiety, mood

My Plan (A Holistic Approach)
Hi all, After being treated/spoken to quite harshly by a new GP, I have decided on a plan of action. My goal is: To reduce my BMI significantly so that I am no longer putting my body through unnecessary stress. I plan to do this by: Sticking to an appropriate calorie limit Gradually increasing my activity

Fungal infections under toe nails
I had a fungal infection on both big toes under the nail. It got bad enough on one nail for the nail to fall off. I had my doctors advise me and none of the usual treatments were effective. Then another doctor told me that one of her patients had tried Canesten antifungal cream and Tea Tree oil combined

should t3 be added
I had been on 50mcg levo and then asked for a blood test - readings as follows tsh was 3.7 (range 0.2 - 4.5) t3 was 1.2 (range 0.2 - 4.5) last t4 was 13.00 (range 9 - 21) I am now on 75mcg which the doc was reluctant to give me as he said I was "in range". I had to bully him into giving me the 75mcg

A confession and a suggestion
Over the past two years or so this forum has been a great help to me. Most of that time I have been lucky and in good shape mentally and have not had to ask for much help and have mainly written many, many replies to try and help others. I have found that trying to help other sufferers has been very, very

TENS/EMS therapy for atrophied muscles
Folks, are you all OK? I went through a phenomenal spasticity and fatigue period. Still going through it. Bad as it is, I know it will pass. It always passes. Amazing that I used to suffer through it without medicine, unless you count booze. I've been taking phenomenal amounts of Modafinil and

hydroxychloroquine and swollen lymph nodes, sore throat...
Hi, before I go into panic mode, I thought I would ask advice regarding whether I should be in a panic! My doc did say to look out for sore throats when taking hydroxychloroquine . ( as well as riveroxaban ) but due to my dreadful memory , completely forgot that was a flag simptom. (Why?) also got quote

wife is starting w2 r1 today
I'll be going out with wife today as the bad weather subsides to start her 2nd week of c25k, she's doing OK but getting knee pain after, so I'm watching her running, she seems to be going slow enough. Am hoping it will go away as she goes on, but may have to give the fish oil supplements a try, has anyone
