DIY medication - playing with fire?
I first came to this site some 3 months ago because I was shaking on the inside but had no visible tremor. I asked if this could be anxiety because I don't have seem to have the symptoms that other bloggers experience - just the shaking.I noticed that when I took my nightly Zopiclone, the shaking went

Insomnia, I can't go on anymore!
Hello all :) I got a hypoactiv thyroid, been on 50mcg Levo since September last year, check up after 6 months (not my fault) showed TSH 8.9 (0.35-5.0) highest ever since diagnosed. Now on 100mcg Levo, feel like on speed, a lot better generally, high levels of energy but no sleep, max 2h per night,

Not really. Would I do that to you? I would but I’m feeling too tired, I didn’t manage to get to sleep until 5am last night/this morning depending on which way you look at it. It’s the same old thing lying there ticcing away my head jerking away until I feel it’s about to un-screw it’s self and come

Sleeping problems and zopiclone?
I had really horrendous anxiety late last year of which I seemed to try everything to overcome it but after sertraline made me worse in just 24hours I soon learned that here is no easy cure and I have to suck it up. I feel like I've made loads of progress but struggling at the minute with a horrid tense

I feel terribly anxious but don't know why.
Hello, from the moment I awake from my zopiclone aided sleep,I start to feel the anxiety building,I try to ward it off by keeping busy but find it hard to motivate myself to complete the task because my mind is reminding me that my anxiety is still there. As the day passes,I seem to get worse and often

Trying to come off Zopiclone
I have recently become anxious and depressed and am currently struggling to feel better. I know eventually I probably will do but at the moment its real hard, especially as I feel quite alone with these feelings as I don't have a partner or family to support me. My doctor has prescribed Mirtazapine which

Should I go back on amitriptyline for sleep?
Is there anyone out there who has had to reluctantly go back on to amitriptyline simply because they can't sleep? My GP gave me the sleeping pill zopiclone but only to be taken every 2 -3 nights. It usually helps but the inbetween nights are a nightmare because I see every hour on the clock and feel

Need advice urgently - Anxiety/Insomnia/Depression spiral
So I'm in a serious hole... And I would be very grateful if anyone could take the time to read this.... My story is that over New Years Eve, I had a serious anxiety meltdown, which resulted in my me being awake for around 4 days solid. Eventually, I managed to get hold of some Zopilcone (3 x 7.5mg

Feeling anxious in mornings especially.
I have suffered before with anxiety and llow mood/depression but not for some time. This week I've found myself waking up early morning and getting into a state of anxiety and worried about everything. I sometimes I think I am going mad. I feel so lonely when I'm like this, and its a horrible feeling

Suffering today!!!!!
Woke up yesterday and a miracle happened, no pain at all in any part of this wreck of a body, but boy o boy miracles don't happen, which I found out, at 3am. Feel like I've been through a mangle. Quick summary of yesterday. Doubled up on my pregablin, took the zopiclone and solpadol, the night before

Tales of anxiety, depression, work and life - Part 7
The past few weeks have included the Christmas season, not a part of the year I usually enjoy but this year was made bearable by going away for a week leading up to Xmas and spending new year with some family. I am due to start my new job at the end of January and will confess to a little more than

Anxiety/Insomnia - A beginner... Help please.
Hi... I realise that my problems are nowhere near as chronic as many on this site, but I would appreciate any comments nevertheless. I have never really suffered with anxiety. I had a conventional panic attack brought on by substance abuse (marijuana) many years (7-8) ago, but aside from some

Goodbye sleeping tablets - natural sleep at last
For nine years I have suffered horrendous insomnia, relieved only by Zopiclone, Temazepam, Phenegan and Amitriptyline (not all at once I hasten to add!). It was akin to torture. Having Parkinson's some people would have you believe that you can do nothing about it. Whilst I do not get 6 to 8 hours

Side Effect from Zoplicone?
I took my first low dose 3.75 Zopiclone last night - and woke up uncontrollably weeping for hours. It also seems to have affected my balance. Has anyone else experience this? Thank you.

Newly diagnosed.
I have been taking zopiclone to helpp me sleep at night and without it i can go for nearly a week with no sleep. Can zopiclone affect my Parkinson's medication? I will be prescribed medication next week when i have an appointment with my GP after he receives a letter from my neurologist.

Tales of anxiety, depression and work, part 5
It's been a while since I blogged so let's get up to date. I have now been on mirtazapine for 6 weeks. I adjusted to it after a week or so and after review this was increased to 30mg. As an interesting aside the pharmacy at the mental health trust was adamant that it was better to be started on 30mg
