Side Effect from Zoplicone?

I took my first low dose 3.75 Zopiclone last night - and woke up uncontrollably weeping for hours. It also seems to have affected my balance. Has anyone else experience this? Thank you.

Yep zopiclone gave me the most horrendous nightmares...not even kidding I was a nervous wreck taking them and lasted a week before I cracked. The balance may be the tablets not quite wearing off in the morning which is common with sleeping aids.

I was changed to a different tablet which the name of escapes me....talk to your GP as there are many other options if you need them.

Xxx

Thanks I had them for a couple of weeks before I took it last night - and had a horrible dream and was more dizzy and unco-ordinate - I have been tearful all day and feeling very low due to taking it. My GP reluctantly gave me 14 and I suspect is all I would get anyway. I need sleep. I feel so sensitized to any form of medication, I;m going to get an antihistamine Benedryl tomorrow and see if this works. x

I would never touch this med again, it does not suit everyone, I felt out of my head, on another planet when I used them. I think we get so desperate to sleep we will try anything. I would ring your Dr's and tell them how you feel. They may give you something else.

I hope you feel better, your friend.

The side effects from taking Zopiclone can be quite significant, please click on link below for more info -

Thank you all for sharing - I am suprised that this was under recomendation to the GP from the Chronic Fatigue Clinic Nurse. I was desperate for sleep but it did not even knock me out!
