Hi folks, After reading the excellent article posted four months ago by Sydney75 (link below), it got me thinking about a few things... https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0753332220309690 2 years post-diagnosis I'd still say anxiety is my main issue. Motor stuff not giving me too

I´ve chosen this title as I am going to give you a look at my life as it is, as it was when diagnosed and how I am moving forward as many people have been asking about my regime. I will keep to the facts . I am 74 this Nov and have tremor dominant PD. About 6 yr ago my GP suggested I get checked by

Does anyone have an update on taking vitB3 niacin? After asking what I could personally do to help with my glaucoma, apart from the obvious healthy eating and regular excercise my consultant wrote down supplements, albeit no strength was mentioned. So since nov 2022 (the last time I saw that particular

Anyone with ET tried ginseng, ginko bilboa, or pomegranates to lower PC?
My son (19y/o) has ET, is JAK2+, and is home from college for the summer. He is currently on a daily aspirin, but I am concerned about his PC continuing to increase over the last month (from 1200 ish to 1400ish). His MPN specialist in NYC is awesome and has said that PC can be finicky. Perhaps finals

Switch to Mucuna
Apologies if this has been asked and answered earlier. I am looking for a guide to switch from C/L to Green tea/Mucuna. Is there a method to calculate green tea against equivalent carbidopa doses? Is brewed green tea better or green tea extract capsule? Is there any interaction between green tea and

Prednisolone and osteoarthritis
As I posted recently, after more than a year of taking 2.5 mg of pred daily, at long last I had an appointment with a rheumatologist who advised me to reduce to 2 mg and then by 0.5 mg reductions at intervals to get down to zero pretty quickly. I'd experienced before that when I reduced my pred dose

Experimenting on myself, don't all try this at home
This is long but I wanted to share this in the hope this inspires someone, some may think I'm crazy but I just had to find out. I have HOCM, its quite mild and has been so for years. It's hereditary. Im in my 50's . Was sort of bullied by cardiologists to take Beta blockers and have been on a low dose

A cross in the sand
Does anyone else find this explanation helpful -- ? Imagine yourself sitting on the beach and you draw a cross in the sand like an 'x'. The first stroke represents your dopamine deficiency and the second stroke you draw several times as it represents an overactive adrenal response subsequent to the HABIT

When does supplementation become toxic or counter-productive?
My Dear Fellow Adventurers, Firstly, thank you for the wealth of information and inspiration - having this commuity makes so much difference! I have a question today, that I have already asked both my doctor and pharmacist (neither were able to help): as I add a new supplement every few months
