Niraparib and eyelashes
Hi, I am wondering if anyone else has noticed that their eyelashes are only little stumps of lashes? My eyelashes grew back lovely and long after I finished my Chemo in June 2022. I have been on Niraparib since July but noticed this last few weeks my eyelashes have gotten shorter. Is this a side

Chemo round 2 - fingernail beds feel bruised
This isn’t how I pictured neuropathy feeling, that would be numbness or pins and needles, correct? Yesterday I noticed pressing on my fingernail caused a bruising feeling. Today some of the fingernail beds just ache a little, and feel bruised when touched. It’s obviously from chemo, is there a name

Olaparib and hair dye
Hi ladies, I hope you'll forgive a slightly frivolous question but I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on using hair dyes/highlights etc while on olaparib? I'm hoping to get my hair highlighted next time I go to the hairdresser as my hair has grown back much darker after finishing chemo in

For those on IV Chemo - How Long for Tumor Markers to Drop
For those of you on IV chemo, can you share how long it took for your tumor markers to drop after you started? Conversely, if your tumor markers didn’t drop or kept rising and/or your scans did not improve or were showing progression, how long was it before your oncologists switched you to different

Kidneys are in trouble. Chemo delayed.
Hello ladies. I was to have chemotherapy yesterday. Unfortunately, my creatinine level was up from 1.11 to 1.68. Also, filtration should be above 60. Mine dropped to 32. An ultrasound has been scheduled on February 16, and I see my oncologist the following day. Usually on the six-hour drive from New

Mitoxantrone
Has anyone used this for chemo? What is the likelihood of it helping where Docetaxel and Cabazitaxel did not work at all? Thank you

Has anyone had a bad reaction to Oramorph?
Reading the thread about using opioids for RLS, I wonder if anyone has tried Oramorph? As I have stage 4 cancer, when I had some bad pain I was prescribed this liquid medicine but found that it made my RLS ten times worse. It stopped the pain a treat and I only took 2.5 mls ( a tiny amount) but my legs

weaning from amiodarone
Replying to Bro Thomas about amiodarone The amiodarone did stop my afib problem I’m sorry to hear it has not helped you. My Dr did wean me off the drug as you described. However after being off the amiodarone for about 2 months I was prescribed a 30 day heart monitor to wear to make certain there were

Unrelenting pain post chemo dose
Hi, 3 years post mbc diagnosis And my scan in December showed progression in both my liver and lungs. There is no spread into my bones. Commenced on 3 weekly epirubicin and cyclophosphamide. I'm on my 2nd cycle but during the 2 cycles I have the most horrendous, unrelenting pain in my upper back area

Decision time – looking for opinions/advice please
My Bio gives full details, but in a nutshell, I was diagnosed with APCa with extensive bone mets last year, have been on ADT for 7 months and Xtandi for 4 months. I had a CT scan in December which showed little change from the previous one in August except for some progression in a pelvic lymph node

Symptoms of PMR?
GM Everyone! I’ve been a member here for a few years, and I’ve had PMR. At one time I was on 90 mgs of prednisone. My CRP was 82! It took me 2 yrs to wean down and in the meantime, I was also diagnosed with NHL. My rheumatologist felt that the cancer was elevating the inflammation in my body. So

Is Radium223 treatment suitable option for me now
DX in 2020 with Stage 4 PCa and have done full course of Chemo treatment. Have been on Abiraterone for over 18 month but now it seems to be failing as PSA is continually rising; now 18 (was 2.39 back in April 2022) . I'm now mCRPC and still taking Abiraterone, ADT and Zometa. Signed up for new trial

Reaching the end of treatment, suggestions beyond Docetaxel and Carboplatin.
1st Docetaxel in ‘21 held psa down to 8, but further treatments have been with no success. I read once that the steroid to use with chemo could be Dexamethasone 1 mg rather than prednisone 5 mg. Is there a clinical reason why? What next?
