Hi, I am wondering if anyone else has noticed that their eyelashes are only little stumps of lashes?
My eyelashes grew back lovely and long after I finished my Chemo in June 2022. I have been on Niraparib since July but noticed this last few weeks my eyelashes have gotten shorter.
Is this a side effect does any one know? I have googled it but found nothing on the web.
Thank you

After chemo all your eyelashes grow back at the same time. This means that when they are due to moult you lose them all pretty much again at the same time, so consequently when they grow they will be short. It appears after time eyelashes will moult more intermittently and so you do not notice thinning or short ones. I am sure this is your experience.
I used to have lovely long eyelashes, but sad to say, after 1st round chemo in 2018 they have never returned to their former glory. I'm also guessing it has something to do with age (61).
Hi Babs, I found that my eyelashes are thicker on one eye than the other and pretty sparse on both eyes. It's the same with my eyebrows. This is still the same after ten years. When the hairs on my legs grew back they were curly, fell out again and now I can pluck them as there are so few. I found the Benefit three pronged eyebrow pencil works wonders on my eyebrows. I hope yours improve. Best wishes, Zena x
Hi Babs, it is as others say most likely a combination of growth cycle and age (isn’t it a joy!) however I can personally recommend NYK1 serum. I used it during chemo and managed to have some semblance of an eye before they all went towards the end! I’ve used it since and really notice a difference if I stop. It doesn’t make them grow but essentially keeps them plugged in longer-therefore they’re longer before they drop out. If you use code MAKEUP10 as well you’ll get a little bit off. Not my code I hasten to add and I’m not anything to do with the company 😁
